China Through the Looking Glass at the Met Muesum

A sumptuous, gorgeous new fashion exhibit spread out through the Asian Galleries with clothes from the 18th century to today. Huge screens with movies from past and present add extra visual excitement. Costumes and video of Anna May Wong and Fred Astaire doing a Chinese fantasy dance plus more recent Chinese action films. But the clothes are the stars of this show that takes up three floors of gallery space. I spent hours walking through with a members preview and will go back to see it again since there's so much to see and enjoy.
