South Park or Family Guy?

Family Guy

Nice accent! Where are you from?

Cardiff in Wales

Good Cardiff. So Michael, how do you keep fit?

I go running, and I go to the gym.

What do you do at the gym?

Work out. I do running, skipping....

BBG interrupts. Do you do anything out of the ordinary to keep fit, like dancing for example?

I actually used to dance.

What kind of dance did you used to do?

I used to do breakdancing. I was five times Welsh champion and number one in the UK for under 18s.

Woooooo! (The BBG team goes a bit wild). Can you do a windmill?

Yes (shy, cute giggle)

Wow, we might get you to do that later.

There isn't enough space right here though, but I could do it for you if I had a bit more space.

Result! Untill that we'll just hunt on google for some fabulous Michael break dancing results. How did you get into break dancing?

I was at school and a break dance team came to my school and did a performance, and I started going to their classes. After the first 6 months, I actually started teaching my teacher and took over the class.

Wow, we're impressed! I (Sophie) went to see the championships in Cheltenham or something like that. Were you there?

haha I am not sure. I went a lot of places.

Which campaign would you love to be the face of?

I just did Topman, which was cool. Would also be great to do Calvin Klein amongst others.

Which place in the world would you like to shoot if you could choose any?

Mexico. I've been there on holiday and seen the sites, and it's amazing there.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Older. I'd love to go into acting at some point, and also photography. My favorite actor is Tom Hardy, and I'd love to do similar stuff to what he's done. I used to do boxing as well.

We can teach you a trick or two if you want. Photography ones. Not acting ones.

Well thank you.

Which animal would you like to be and why?

A cheetah.

Ooooooh!

Cause they're fast and can be places quickly.

That's good. Good answer. What music do you listen to at the moment.

Big Sean.

If you could be any famous person in history, who would you be and why?

Mohammed Ali, cause he was the greatest.

Do you have any nicknames?

Mogzee, because of the breakdancing.

Wow that's pretty cool. What does your mum call you?

Micky.

Also goes by Greg McKeon, I guess:

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kMc2x6uR3tc/Tr2T4OYDWZI/AAAAAAAA704/3JWrt2trInc/s1600/odyssey_facial.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/idavisjr/Greg-Standing.jpg

Greg: My name is Greg McKeon and I am a 24 yr old personal trainer and fitness model living in Los Angeles, CA. Growing up; I was an active kid. I participated in competitive gymnastics, swimming, volleyball and cheer leading. I am a recent graduate of UC Berkeley, and have hopes in the future to open up a gym.

Isaac: Great goals and congratulations of graduating from college too.

Isaac: In your opinion, what is the state of fitness in the United Sates currently?

Greg: The United States is in a health crisis. Fortunately, many Americans can improve their health through healthy eating and increasing the physical fitness levels. In order to solve the "obesity" problem in America, it is important to stress physical activity as the catalyst for weight loss and change. The human body is pretty easy to change using the principle, if you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight; however, if you burn less calories than you consume you will gain weight.

Isaac: You talk about your commitment to fitness lifestyle on your main official website. Many people use all types of excuses of why they do not have time to work out or eat healthy. What do you say to those types of people? How do you encourage them to change their lifestyle?

Greg: Being active is not buying an expensive gym membership or fancy at home training equipment. Being active is about making the most active choices you possibly can, even if it is as simple as parking in the back of the parking lot and making yourself walk the extra distance. Something as simple as stretching or basic body weight conditioning at home (push-ups, crunches, planks, lunges, etc) only 15 minutes a day can help improve one’s fitness. Being fit is also about what you eat and when you eat. Nutritional timing is very important as eating 5 small well-timed meals are far better than one large meal and several unhealthy "snacks." Meal replacement protein shakes can be a good option for those wanting to gain lean muscle mass and have a quick and easy meal.

saac: You are currently working as a Personal Trainer moment. Would you mind elaborating on how you got yours start and how others can participate with the program?

Greg: In college, I stopped competing in gymnastics and started coaching gymnastics. I was working for the Clovis Unified School District and enjoyed coaching very much. Soon, my students’ parents started inquiring about training and I started training many of the parents from the gym. After college, I moved to Los Angeles and started working as a fitness model. I soon realized that personal training, rather than coaching gymnastics gave me more flexible hours, while still pursuing my passion for fitness. Personal training is not an easy job, as with any small business. But marketing, dedication and passion for fitness can make a training career possible.

Isaac: Another hat that you wear is that of coaching and judging gymnastics. Give the readers of this publication some background on you as a judge and the rewards of being one?

Greg: While I was coaching gymnastics, I also got certified as a USA Gymnastics National certified Judge. I have been working for the last four years judging gymnastics. Judging gymnastics has been an amazing experience as it has helped me focus on learning exactly how technique and form can either hinder or help an athlete's physical development. Therefore, when I am persona training, form and technique are of the upmost importance to me.

Isaac: What is your own philosophy about living life well?

Greg: Do what makes you happy. Having studied History at UC Berkeley, I have realized that the values and beliefs that are society embodies are strictly in contrast to those values and beliefs of other time periods. Therefore, I urge my clients to take risks, try new things, and not to let others dictate how to live their lives.

Isaac: For those readers who are looking for more information about you and/or your various projects, where can they locate you online?

Greg: I have been working on creating an online lifestyle website to offer a community website for the gay community which encompasses my fitness and the Southern California lifestyle. My website can be found at http://www.gregmckeon.com. I will also be featured on the cover of the upcoming (click here:) Playgirl Campus Hunks issue in newsstands in September.

Isaac: Sweet!!

I guess he is or was a gogo boy in West Hollywood. Any of you see him?

[video=youtube;N9pchylXfNE]

I saw him all the time when I was in LA. He danced at Club Eleven, Revolver, and at Mickey's. He was very sweet in person, and had a great little body. For reasons that escape me, I actually became a fan. He became a regular with myself and another forum member who used to go see the go go boys in WEHO.

He used to post workout videos of himself and videos like the travel one above, which were really very silly, but he was such a sweet kid, it was fun to go watch him dance. The travel video does remind me of how wonderful WEHO is. Aaaahhh the weather alone in SoCal is worth the trip.
