Why not a string on models whose last name begins with the letter M? Let's start with Christopher Murdock. Christopher Murdock is a 24 year-old from Verdun, Quebec where he went to Riverside Park Academy. He now lives in Montreal, Quebec where he is an assistant manager of a butcher department at IGA. He is 6' 1.5″ and weighs 205 lbs. He started working out because he was very skinny and was picked on a lot in high school. Also, he likes the feeling of competition, constantly striving to improve himself and make himself stronger. After working out for 8 years (but with a large break due to knee surgery), Christopher’s photo shoot with Paul Henry Serres was his first.

-Hello David, thanks for accepting to be interviewed for my online magazine, just to start this interview off tell me when and why you decided to pursue a career in fitness modeling.

I started Fitness modeling after my divorce in 2002. My first job/shoot was Yahoo Personals 2002 then Men's Health, GENRE Magazine, Exercise for Men Only Magazine and many more.

I wanted my kids to have a cover or a photo shoot to look at and be proud of their father, I wanted to live as an example to them, that they could do WHATEVER they put their Heart and Mind to. And to stay healthy, women are in there somewhere too! LOL. My training style works because it changes but the bottom line is all about intensity that makes my style work! Now, I have a pretty good imagination, but I cannot ever imagine divorcing this God!

Another stud with cystic fibrosis! A Cystic Fibrosis sufferer whose lungs were severely damaged by a mystery virus could find himself on the cover of a glossy magazine. “I was born with Cystic Fibrosis which affects the lungs. When I was no age, my dad — who's into fitness himself — used to make me do press-ups to help strengthen my chest, to give me good posture so my breathing would be clearer,” said the Co Antrim man.

“I always found exercise made me feel better, along with taking my medication every time I eat.

“Cystic Fibrosis makes you tired and prone to chest infections and a few years ago I ended up in hospital. Beforehand, my lung function had been 100%, but I got some type of virus and it dropped to 66%.’’

A doctor told him that his lungs were damaged and would stay at 66% for the rest of his life. But Ben wasn't to be beaten and tried out a treadmill in a nearby room, telling the doctors he missed exercise. They were doubtful at first, but within a week his lung function was up to 77%. After completing a media course, Ben began working as a trainee assistant director, but took ill again. So he quit his job, and qualified as a fitness consultant. He now works as a personal trainer at Fitness First, Connswater, and his lung function is 99%. “If I win, it'll be more important for people who have Cystic Fibrosis than it will be for me,” he said.
