I had a free afternoon recently in NYC and booked a couple of erotic or "custom" massages. It turned out less than satisfactory. The first was with "Ashton" from MasseurFinder. He looks great in his pics and we exchanged several emails and then txt messages up until a few hours before the scheduled appointment. He failed to show and went radio silent when I tried to contact him to see where he was. No explanation. No nothing.

The second guy, Nilan, from http://new-york-lions.com showed up and actually gave a pretty good massage (with a nice ending) but he was not even close in appearance to to his alleged pics online. Completely different guy. When I called him on this after the massage he shrugged and said that is the way the agency does it. When I booked the appointment I went to some effort to clarify that I was expecting the guy pictured in the ad (a professional model) and was assured he would be. Caveat emptor.

I never heard of that NY-lions site before. Every single one of the guys looks uber hot and likely to fall in the "too good to be true" category.

It is truly unfortunate that you had this bad experience. After looking at the site and doing some detective work, here's what I found:

  1. The site is actually a Tumblr blog. The "Follow" and "Dashboard" buttons are a giveaway, as are the URLs associated with the pics.
  2. The wording on the home page and in most of the "ads" looks like very broken English.
  3. Googling a few of the phone numbers listed in the "ads" reveals ads for other massage therapists.

You have to look closely, but of you do this site has "scam" written all over it.

Exactly -

The bogus ads continue both in escort ads and massage.

Those scam artists placing bogus ads must make money or the ads would not continue.

Well this is an interesting thread as e now discover two new (at least for me NEW) masseur sites all advertising young (twinkish) European models as masseurs: http://new-york-lions.com and http://www.euro-masseurs.com !

Some of the models on this latter site have had ads before but it too seems like a scam IMHO because they are all seemingly ONE TYPE.

I have seen ads and reviews of Stas, Steven and Tylan from euro-masseurs, and they do have individual phone numbers (and only 10 or so guys advertising; could be slightly more plausible, but I am sure the better sleuths here (Scorpio, imrthr and others can verify).

If Nilan was a "completely different guy," then why did you follow through with the massage? I WOULD NOT HAVE! ...just an honest query!

Yeah, but in his first pic he's holding a sign that says "I'm not fake". That's got to count for something.

Yeah, that sign and $3.29 will get you a venti orange spiced coffee at Starbucks.

Those two sites are like night and day to me. That Euro site is full of twinks, the lion site is muscle fitness models, not at all even close to being twinkish.

Well, the guy who showed up was hot, gave a good massage and then a good even great finish. He just was not the model in the ad. Not even close. The site would have done much better by just being honest. I actually have also seen Kevin Warhol advertised on Lions as well. He is the same BelAmi model but he has lost all his muscle and removed his tats. Now a student in NYC. There are other hot guys listed but I don't think I will risk another.

SilverDollar, interesting comment on Kevin Warhol being in NYC. If he lost "all his muscle" he would be pretty scrawny IMHO now as he was one of the slimmest of the Bel Ami guys (even in films he did earlier this year). As for losing his tats, OUCH as he had the really ugly one on his neck.

I'd give Kevin Warhol a spin even if he was slighter. Anyone have a link to him?
