Gaydar charge £55 (93 US dollars) a month to be listed an escort. It's very expensive. I stopped using it a few years ago but it's not really my market anyway. It's a complete rip off.

It is interesting to see two sides of the business.

 

From a client's perspective, Gaydar and other sites are much better because access is free of charge (at least for email contact and phone numbers). Also, the fact that there is a charge to the escort means that the listings are fairly current.

 

Accessing an escort by email or phone through boys4U (and the many other sites the same company operates) means being a member. That costs around £29 a month - or you can get brief one-off access to a profile through a premium rate call number. This method means there is no reason at all for the company to weed out inactive ads - the more the better. Basically, it is a complete rip-off for most users since the serious escorts are likely to be listed on other sites.

 

Of course, I can understand how advertising costs add up for an escort and there is no point in spending a lot of money on sites that are not good for your market.
