Got into town last night and the city was buzzing with hot Canadiens fans whose demeanor turned sour after they were eliminated last night. A guy I was talking to at Campus said over 20,000 people showed up to the Bell Center here to watch the game on TV... it was sold out. The game was being played in NYC.

Blah blah blah, you wanna hear about the clubs. :)

It was a fairly quiet night. We started at Taboo. It was pretty slow, but for a weeknight when 90% of the population was enthralled with hockey, it's to be expected. There were about 7 or 8 dancers, less twink'y than usual. There was one guy who looked like he just fell off an Abercrombie & Fitch bag. Tall, dark hair, model looks and great body. Didn't catch his name, but I'll make a note of it at some point this weekend. I think it might have been Jay or Chase. The DJ booth has been moved since my last visit - it's now next to the back room entrance. I didn't do any private dances last night, so can't speak on curtains, etc. Also they got rid of that weird outer space background and it's a mirror like wall behind the dancers. Other than that not much new... still the pool table in the corner and the layout is the same.

Next was L'Adonis/JP/Lux/whatever. 2 dancers. Both fugly. Only stuck around for about 4 minutes. When I walked by later some younger dancers (although not new to the scene, have seen a couple before) were hanging around outside. I'll give it another go this weekend, but when a 300 pound chick decided to waddle onto the stage and dance, I took a hike..

Stock - sorry, didn't go in. Those who have read my reviews know the buff gym rats aren't my type. But I'll pop in at some point this weekend.

Campus - fairly busy. About a dozen dancers, most new to me. Most fit the general Campus formula, too muscular to be twinky, but more "street" looking and not primped and pretty enough to be at Stock.

The best eye candy last night was to be found on the streets because of the hockey game. Too bad the team is done for the year! The pink balls are back up and street traffic is closed in the Village. Weather was great for bar hopping and strolling around - about 60 degrees at night.

Big upswing last night. Village was packed. Most of the evening was spent at Taboo. Dancer list was about 20 guys deep... some real stunners. The mix of guys was more in line with what I expect from Taboo, 18-24, on the thinner side, some skateboard punks, some gay club boys, and a few straight guys looking to make some cash. The standout guy I mentioned yesterday is named James. He's straight, but is probably the most outgoing of all the dancers. Again a little too muscular for me, but for most of you, I think you'd find him perfect. Just the total package. About 6'5, lean muscular, dark hair, beautiful model face and great dancer.

Last night he brought a friend along named Noah. Noah is the epitome of my type. Blond hair, all American freshman athlete look - think Ryan Phillippe in Cruel Intentions. Great personality. A bit of muscle, claims to be gay, but he sent my straight guy fantasies into overdrive. He was in the back room more than he was in the front all night. Friendly too. There were no dancers not working the room... I know that should be a given but after visiting Johnnys so much, it it something you notice. Johnnys boys tend to waste time chatting up their friends and hanging out in the back instead of engaging clients. Taboo guys, all of them, were introducing themselves to everyone.

Some familiar guys from previous visits... Benjamin, petite queeny dark haired guy who has done some porn work. A few others whose names I don't recall. But by and large since my September visit, about 80% of the dancers were new to me.

Drink prices are a bit high, $7.50 for a beer, but still no cover at Taboo.

STOCK

I took one for the team and we spent some time at Stock. It was busy. Some contest was going on with 17 dancers in the running. It was a typical Stock dance roster... mid 20s guys, all primped and muscular, doing the shuffle around stage. Ah just realized I kept the ballot in my pocket as I typed this. It was called "Stock Idol." Contestants: Jimmy, Sean, Brian, Theirry, Jeff, Alfie, Angel, Josh, Rico, B-Buck, Denzel, Eric, Keegan, Marc, Gab, Charles and Dale. We only stuck around for about 20 minutes. The place has just never done it for me no matter how many times I give it a shot. The environment seems so sterile and the Stock dancers just seem so plastic to me. But I know it's a my type/your type thing. Stock fans will be happy with the selection.

CAMPUS

Was going to make a stop at Campus, but I was annoyed when we got to the top of the stairs to find a guy charging cover. Cover? At Campus? When did this start? Fuck that... just left annoyed. Most of the dancers I tend to like at Stock work early shift anyway so we just bailed. I know they charge a cover on ladies night Sundays, but I'd never seen a cover charge otherwise.

LUX

There's no way this place will survive. Stopped in twice last night. Both times it was a ghost town. 1 or 2 dancers (1 kind of cute, the other nooooo).

'Blond hair, all American freshman athlete look '

Maybe that was an all CANADIAN freshman, it is after all Canada.:)

Nah all American look is a real thing. If my Asian friends were in Canada with me, they wouldn't look any less Asian.

Night #3: the winner is... LUX!?

Well not sure I'd call it a winner, but the only private dance I've done this trip happened there tonight. I hate the lack of privacy in Campus and especially Taboo.

Here's tonight's scorecard:

Spent my first few hours at Campus. There was not a twink to be found. Just the usual beefy Campus guys. Only one dancer really caught my attention, a tall lean toned guy named "Axl." Great smile, blond hair, decent dancer on stage. I always like to play the gay/straight guessing game. I was wrong with him - saw him hand in hand with a Taboo dancer on the way back to my hotel tonight. A familiar face was dark haired and dark eyed Gabriel. Otherwise, mostly new faces to me. About 15 dancers, only 2-3 lookers.

Dropped by Stock shortly before the cover kicked in at 9 just out of curiosity. I was back on St Catherine 30 seconds later. It was too early and the dancers I did see just didn't get my juices flowing.

Taboo got props from me yesterday about how the dancers were doing their jobs and engaging customers. i spoke too soon. Many tonight were aloof, playing pool, walking backstage and then outside endlessly. In the section I was sitting in, there were about a dozen guys (door side)... no dancer came by for at least an hour. There were a couple new faces, but the standouts remain the same as my previous posts. One honorable mention is a lean toned twink whose name I couldn't understand ... possibly Guillaume. He had a Clark Kent like routine where he took his glasses off when he went on stage.

Since the energy was lower tonight at Taboo, i thought i'd give Lux a fighting chance. I had a $3 Molson on tap. Not a bad price! There were about 6 dancers, only 2 actually danced on stage... it was a double edged sword... it was the 2 hot dancers, so the stage was fun to watch, but they literally danced for about 30 minutes straight as the rough around the edges old timer dancers who probably can't get gigs anywhere else circled looking for attention. The one I liked, Joey, finally jumped off stage to go have a cigarette. He was about 21, dark hair, muscle twink'ish, great abs. I stopped him and said I'd like to do a dance... his cig was priority 1 though... whatever, I wasn't coming to Montreal and not doing a dance. We headed upstairs and had complete privacy in a curtained booth, the way it should be. $20/song. $10 for no contact with less privacy (although I'd imagine we were the only ones up there anyway). There were about 15-20 customers.

Heading home so that'll be a wrap for me!

I'll just add a bit about Stock as I have been there the last three nights. The Stock Idol contest was Friday and Saturday nights. The Final was Saturday with the top 3 being:

Gab: 2nd Runner-up

Keegan: 1st runner-up

Angel: Mr. Stock 2014

The contest was a lot of fun with many of the dancers doing very creative shows. Great time Saturday being particularly busy with an enthusiastic crowd.

I agree with Jake that it is always nice in the warmer months when they close off Saint Catherine street.

Check out the Stock bar website to see the pics of the dancers I mentioned above:

And to Stock's credit too, they also have true private dances with a curtain still right? It's one of the reasons I usually pop in each visit, even though the guys really aren't my type.

Thanks, Jake. With a trip of my own coming up soon, I'm all ears.

You'll have fun man! The momentum shifted from club to club this visit, but all had captive entertained crowds. I'd say the only one that might be lacking a little is Campus. (Well Lux too but it's not like they were ever a powerhouse contender. :)

Oh not much. I think $3? I guess I was just annoyed by it. I know they charge on ladies night. But that was new to me to see it on a regular Friday night.

When they charge on ladies night, do you mean they charge the men to discourage them or do they charge everyone on that night?

that's a good question. I don't think theyre ever trying really to discourage males. I just know that they charge everyone to get in on ladies night. Actually it might be more. I don't think I've ever paid the cover for that night. I do know if you get there before ladies night begins around nine I think it is free.

I'll
