So yesterday I had what I would consider an very odd request..I someone interested in seeing me tell me to fly myself into nyc and they would see me for a few hours..I declined stating he could fly me in for an overnight if he wished but I don't really fly myself in for just a few hours to see someone. He then stated that I should, I guess it wouldn't be so odd if I had stated id be touring there however this isn't the case..any help on how to guide this conversation?

"I'll be happy to fly in to see you. My rate for meeting is $_____ plus $_____ for my travel expenses to get to you. Let me know when you're ready to send your credit card number so I can process your payment quickly and efficiently with my new Square™ card reader."

I like Travis69's response too, by the way.

"I'll be happy to fly in to see you. My rate for meeting is $_____ plus $_____ for my travel expenses to get to you.

Simple and to the point. If he is serious he will go ahead, if he isn't he won't. I have known clients who actually fly escorts to desirable cities only for a few hours together. Some escorts jump at the opportunity of staying in the city and work more, some decline, accepting an overnight as the shortest session for traveling. I guess it all depends on what you are comfortable.

Let me know when you're ready to send your credit card number so I can process your payment quickly and efficiently with my new Square™ card reader."

Personally I have chosen to stay away from any kind of paper trail. Since escorting is not illegal in Canada I pay my taxes and have everything in order, but for my own benefit and my client's I prefer not using such devices. Again personal degree of comfort.

Lastly, if you feel uncomfortable at any moment with any client, regardless of how luxurious his hiring promises may sound, you should simply politely end the conversation. You don't need to explain anything, you don't have any responsibility towards someone just because they are on the phone. Your only responsibility is with you. Don't get into situations that feel bad in your gut. A simple "Thank you so much for calling me. I appreciate your interest but sadly I don't think we are a good match. I am sure there will be many hot guys who will gladly meet you. I just think this might not work. Have a wonderful day." No explanations. No obligations. No risks.

Pushy people don't deserve your time. They will always try to get their way, push boundaries and even if they commit (which is not common) during the meeting they will try to get more, break your rules, avoid to pay, you name it. If someone starts being pushy like this, my only advice is nip it in the butt. =)

Hope this is useful.

I had close to the same thing happen with a client from Boston a few weeks ago. However he only asked that I flew myself out because he was married and his spouse knew that he was required to use the company card for travel (so basically he couldn't have a random flight popping up on his bank statement).

Not sure if you're familiar with GreenDotting but it's something that I have found quite useful. Especially if either you or the client are uncomfortable releasing personal information by using Western Union or any other type of wire transfer.

Basically, you could have a client run to a Walmart, Target, Kroger, wherever (they sell these things EVERYWHERE and I never knew about them until a few months ago) and pick up a MoneyPak. They usually have to be loaded with cash, I've seen SOME places that accept cards for these. They will load the cash onto the MoneyPak right there in the store and the client will receive a link number to provide to whomever he is sending the funds to.

This is where you come in, go to any of those stores and find a card with a GreenDot logo on it. They have them as Mastercards, Visas, etc. And also make sure it's reloadable with MoneyPak. Get the link number from your client, call the number on the back of the card and enter it or you can do it on greendot.com, and boom, you've got the funds. Smaller places will sometimes only allow up to $500 to be put on each MP, but Walmart allows $1000. You can even get a permanent card and constantly get the same one reloaded.

This ended up working out for both of us... Didn't have to give any personal information or credit card information at all. I was able to book my own flight, but sadly I was only in Boston for a VERY short amount of time... Departed RDU at 6:30pm and arrived back at RDU at 7am the next day... :-/

This method only works if the client is actually WILLING to fly you there, not sure about if this guy wants you to fly yourself. But if it's just a matter of something like this, you could always ask him if he's okay with doing it that way.

Hope I helped. :-)
