Just started escorting...looking for advice on setting appointments

Hey everyone! I've been a contributor here for a few years and have finally taken the suggestion of a number of people and have begun escorting myself. I am very excited to be finally doing this, officially, as it is something that I genuinely enjoy and really love meeting new people and creating a memorable experience for them. I'm in NYC which is very competitive and I'm not a porn star, erotic dancer, or masseur and have no other agenda or business I'm trying to develop (I actually have another career) so I am doing this simply because I enjoy the work. I'm not nervous at all about being with clients; it's something that I've kind of been doing casually for awhile but in an informal, through personal referrals, way. But I just put up two ads, so I am officially on the market for the general public.

 

HERE IS MY QUESTION: I have hired many, many times over the years and when I have hired I am very professional and know what to ask, etc. I don't expect when people call me that they will be quite as "professional" as I was about it. Do any escorts (or clients) have advice about the kinds of questions I should ask a potential client? Are there things I should avoid asking? Really just looking for any experience or advice anyone has about the process of initial contact and setting appointments.

Thanks Instudiocity...I have a very good sense of humor and I totally understood what you found humorous in my initial post. :-) It's very nice of you to send this follow up message. I always try and have a good attitude online...there is too much negativity floating around and I don't like to add to it -- especially in gay-related websites where, fundamentally, we all share a common interest and should respect different points of view without becoming hostile or taking things personally. It's too much effort to be angry and get into the kinds of posting wars I see people engaged in here (and on other sites). This is supposed to be fun, after all. :-D

I looked at your ad, but without a full face photo, I would not be in the market. It is one of my own personal rules, ads without a full face photo get skipped by me. Also, I would say just take the calls as they come, as you have been on the other side you know what the caller wants and why he is calling, you should be adept at handling it better than others who do not have your experience.

You need to change the 'cock' size description on your Rentboy ad to large because if you were truly only 'average', I'm not sure how the guys with large ones in your neighborhood would be able to walk without it dragging the ground.

Yes, since I posted this I've found that it's been fairly easy taking calls and because I have also been a client I have a pretty good idea of what to ask...It's been fairly smooth so far. Unfortunately, I simply cannot post a face photo in my ad since I have another career. Although I have no problem sending anyone a face photo if they ask, because I know how important that is. If I am skipped over by people who need to see a face photo in an ad, I completely understand. Everyone has their own process for selecting the person they want to spend time with, and I respect that. :-D

That's the problem, Gman! Everyone in my neighborhood has such huge cocks it makes my 7.5 inches feel tiny!! LOL. For those of you reading this who don't know, I live in Washington Heights in NYC, which has a big Dominican and Latin community (and, increasingly, a great gay scene as well). I know people are supposed to "over sell" themselves in their ads, but I feel like I'd rather my clients experience a nice surprise when they're expecting "average" and get something better than average. I'm a bottom, anyway, so no one's hiring me for my huge cock...they just want a hot ass. And I don't want people being disappointed if they're expecting something huge and then 7.5 seems somehow underwhelming. I know I should probably be more aggressive in my ads -- "I'm the hottest!! I'm the biggest!! I'm the sexiest!!" But NYC is a big city and there are plenty of clients here. I'm more interested in being honest about who I am and let people who are turned on by the real me be the ones who contact me. But I definitely appreciate the compliment, and maybe I will change my size in my profile to "large." I'll think about it. :-D
