It's very stressful to watch this movie. And while they try to portray David as a decent guy, I have more sympathy for Jackie. Given that he chose her for her looks, she is a much more empathetic and supportive wife than he deserves.

you are right, she's more of a team player and the guy is just too negative. Besides he had children with his 1st and 3rd wife, yet he has no more than a business relationship with the sons of his 1st marriage, makes me think of Rush Limbaugh's family values.
