The 1st 2 seasons of Queer As Folk were a 'closeted' pleasure of mine. At the time of the 1st episode- I had still never had sex and wouldn't for another year and 1-1/2. I remember that they were deliberately trying to make the 1st episode shocking. Brian the predator took Justin the high school student home for sex. They were in bed together and Brian was topping Justin. My gosh the they turned up the sound effects on Brian's 'thrusts' into Justin to emphasize that Brian was not making love but f-cking him roughly. I think it was the most daring sex scene shown on American TV at the time. As a virgin at the time, I wasn't sure I was ever going to have sex ( I had told myself in my 20's I was never going to give in to being gay because I didn't want to be gay- on the other hand I had been looking a escort sites for 3 or 4 years at that point because I liked looking at handsome guys. But I never planned to meet with an escort as I was scared s-itless at the idea. ). Anyway the sound effects were so loud purposely of Justin the twink's deflowering, I became sick at mt stomach and had to turn it off.

Yeah, that first episode was pretty rough. I was an experienced bottom long before that first season of Queer as Folk, and I was wincing. No way to initiate a guy!! But ultimately I found that series pretty entertaining, and I thought the guy playing Bryan was way hot!

Gman, I had a much different reaction to that scene. I loved all five seasons of Queer as Folk. I still miss that show.
