I've done solo work on legendmen.com, but Titan wants me to do some scenes now. I was wondering if doing porn makes one more or less desirable as an escort? Does the type of porn matter?

I like Titan films. They always use condoms which is a plus for many viewers. Being able to see an escort on film prior to hiring them I would see as a plus. You really get to see how they move in a sexual situation/mannerisms,etc. Of course you could just jack off watching the videos and never hire the escort because the mystery of what the interaction will be like is over. Guess it has pros and cons.

I would never hire or not hire someone just because they were a porn star or performer. That carries no what in my hiring decision.

I would say that as long as you don't do BB videos, the upside of doing the porn would -- IMHO, and for me -- outweigh any down side. I am horrified by the amount of BB porn being done now, and I would never hire a performer who has done BB on video. (I know that a number do it offscreen, but I keep that in mind for my own personal hygiene anyway.) Goo dluck!

I think porn can be valuable exposure, as long as it's quality product.

 

My only caveat would be that the role shouldn't too different from your normal/preferred role, because some clients may hire expecting exactly the services you performed in the video.

I think porn makes an escort more desirable. It not only exposes you to an abundance of new clients, but those same clients now have an idea what sex is like with you (to a certain degree). They don't have to fantasize/wonder what you can do to them or them to you. They can see in the vid the potential. IMHO.

I just had a client call me not 10 minutes ago and said he called because he heard I was tasty and he has seen my porn work....so it does help out a little....but I dont advertise it and I dont use my full porn name on my ad because it was bareback porn which turns off some potential clients even though 90% of my clients use condoms with me.

I'd consider it a definite plus. As others have mentioned, I like the idea of getting to see a guy in action, so to speak, so I'd know what to expect. And I have to say, for me, it would be a real turn-on hiring someone I'd previously watched in porn videos. And afterwards, it would make rewatching their scenes that much more enjoyable.

I don't watch porn, so it would make no difference to me. I would be more concerned about the quality of the person, the fact that they did / did not do porn wont make a bit of difference. I have read some threads that have indicated that some actors have a bit of a chip on their shoulders.

The only downside I see for clients is that once you are all famous and everything, I'm sure you are going to raise your rates. But of course with the increased exposure, more people will be willing to pay those rates. But us little guys will get shut out. But such is the way of the world. At least those that have met you before the fame, can say they knew you when.

 

Really as long as this doesn't mess anything up in your private life, cause you to take drugs, or perform unsafely, then from an escort viewpoint, it's all too the good- except for the little guy client as described above.

For a good, hot sex scene the exposure can only help. If you're doing a leather scene you might want to try for more conventional sex scene so that you show some "versatility". You wouldn't want to be pigeonholed as a man into any specific kink.

 

There have been numerous escorts I've wanted either because they started as porn performers or because of their porn performances. Roman Wright is a great example of someone who made sex seem hot and real, and who let some personality shine through.

 

I'm into total tops. When a guy bottoms on screen its a bit of a let down for me. If it becomes clear that topping is an act and bottoming is what the guy lives for that becomes a deal breaker. Tops who flip and seem like they're tough enough to handle bottoming from time to time get my "forgiveness".

 

Not sure if there's a PC way to put this, but if your voice sounds really gay it can also hurt your image too.
