Until May 4 at the Rattlestick in the West Village. Starring Michael Urie, this one man 90 minute one act play proved to be very entertaining and funny. Written by Jonathan Tolins and directed by Stephen Brackett.

Alex is an out of work LA actor. He's just been fired from his job at a Disney theme park. His life and career are going no where. A freind recommends him for an unusual job at the home of a superstar. Her mega Malibu compound has an underground mall of little shops where she proudly displays all the collectibles she has accumulated over the years. No one shops in her mall except her and Alex has been hired to be a "pretend" shop keeper who waits on her whenever she appears. The mega star is none other than Barbra! Alex and Barbra's relationship grows close as the story unfolds.

The show, while fictional, is based on facts published in Barbra's design book My Passion For Design. The show has an interesting concept and Michael Urie does a great job portraying all the characters in this story. There are some very funny moments and observations.
