Given that Saudia Arabia and most other Arab/Muslim countries still execute people by either beheading them or by firing squad (due to the lack of experienced and talented "swordsmen"), I would definitely stay away. Remember: think with the Big Head and the little one will always lie to you.

Personally, I wouldn't take the risk given the potential consequences.

The State Department usually attempts to intervene and calls for the release of Americans taken into custody, but I wouldn't count on the State Department doing much if it was a situation involving an escort.

These were my thoughts too. To tell you the truth if I had a boyfriend--which I don't--I'd probably be too scared to have sex with him even in a hotel in one of these countries. Anyone with any different opinions or experiences on either hiring or visiting these countries with a boyfriend or a f-ckbuddy?

In general, I'd be cautious about making online reservations with someone in a foreign country. Western Europe and the UK, perhaps, but not most places. You have no way of knowing what's going on with law enforcement or what kind of local scams are going on. Islamic countries vary widely in terms of local culture, even within the Middle East. I wouldn't necessarily single them out as a class, esp. when you have phobic countries like Russia in the mix.

Outside of Western Europe and the UK, as well as our own neighbors, the guys on Rentboy tend to be at rates in excess of what you'd pay on the local economy. In many cases, the ads are suspicious, e.g., the same guy advertising for multiple Asian countries. Even the more international sites have a lot of questionable ads. There tends to be a lot of info on line to help with reasonably gay-friendly or at least gay-tolerant countries. The idea of going to, e.g., Saudi Arabia and hiring just strikes me as absurd. People who don't do their homework before doing foreign travel are asking for trouble.

If you frequent GayRomeo you'll find a fair number of escorts in the less scary M.E. destinations like Dubai and Doha. Most seem to be travelers from Europe, Russia or Africa. Their ads when they're in those countries seem to be more discreet, omitting things like cock shots, but they're definitely there, offering their services at fairly hefty prices. There don't seem to be many (or any) locals offering their services. I guess they're more likely to be clients. There ARE locals available in cities like Beirut or Istanbul and in Morocco (which also seems to have a lot of guys from Islamic African countries, especially Senegal, who are working or going to school there).

I wouldn't take the chance.

Even having sex with a woman who is not married to you is a crime in some countries.

Some Evangelical's should consider moving to Saudi Arabia and converting to Islam, after they have so much in common when it comes to: fornicators, cohabitators, virginity, homosexuals, etc.

I have a friend who visited Jordan and the told me he saw plenty of sex in Amman at the Roman Theater, I wonder if it's like some conservative states here where you find conservative doing it without condoms are a truck stop?

Jordan is not Saudi, and UAE are not Lebanon. I have hired in Jordan and Turkey and been unafraid and very satisfied with quality, intelligence, and services of locals in both cases. Each hire was for extended sessions and in Jordan it was one week where the escort was also the guide and driver.

I would not venture to have sex in Saudi, much less hire an escort.

I notice that Rentboy does have ads in various Arabic/Islamic countries. Even assuming the ads are on the up and up, I think personally I would be too scared to attempt hiring anyone. What does the rest of the Forum think?

I wonder if this is a two part question and I answered it wrong in my last post? "Rentboy does have ads in various Arabic/Islamic countries." and "personally I would be too scared to attempt hiring anyone [in Arab/Islamic countries]. I did not hire from rentboy and I think they do not cover this region as well as gayromeo (which I used for all of my middle-east hires). So if the question is: "would I use rentboy for a middle east hire?" the answer is "no". Would I hire? cautiously, by country, "yes".
