Skype Sessions?

This might be more of an "escort asks" than "ask an escort," but since there isn't a forum for that...

 

New to the forum and to escorting

 

Two of my first three replies recognized me from movies I had done, and asked for prices for a Skype session (they are in other states).

I've been unable to find any prices for any escorts doing Skype.

As Skype can be recorded and reused (or reposted), this seems to be similar to someone asking to film/photograph one in general, and my general response would be a higher "modelling" rate.

OTOH, it does seem to be a bit odd to have a higher rate for Skypeing than for actually being in the room with someone.

 

Since Skype/webcamming looks to be more common for communication in the future (hello Jetsons videophones!), I figure this is an emerging issue...

 

Thoughts, suggestions, recommendations, warnings?

I'm not an escort but I have done webcam shows with escorts a number of times.

 

Pricing, from what I have experienced, depends on the escort and it also depends on what the escort does on cam for the watcher. It literally runs the gamut of pricing ranges from $50-$500 and over. The most expensive show I personally did was with an escort and his friend/partner having full on sex.

 

Yes, if you did any webcamming it can be recorded. There is no way around it as far as I know. And no way to guarantee the client won't put it up on something like xtube. If this is a concern either hide your face (as some do) or not do the webcam show at all.

I find that people often want to Skype with you in order "to get to know you better up front." They invariably try to then turn it into a "hot video call." I would advise you to consider this carefully - if you do not have a plan in place for this, you will have your time wasted by someone who got what he wanted (your time, attention, and sexual energy) who will then disappear. There may be people who genuinely prefer to Skype; however, my experience with this is that there is no follow through with a booking after the Skype (which is why I am willing to Skype only one time with someone for about 15 minutes so they can see I am the person in my pics, but I do nothing sexual during the video convo).

Someone once wanted to do a cam session with me and pay over paypal. The paypal payment email was spoofed (fake) and I caught him early on. I then realized he was emailing from his company email. Oops, accidentally hit the forward button.

Just wondering- if the client only wanted you to lift your shirt for a second to assure himself that you are in as incredible shape as your pictures- would that be a no no too?

Have you checked the member's profile here to see if he's still active here? (I'm just wondering if it's possible that something has happened to him rather than just 'flaking out', and I know of at least one member who has disdappeared from both this board and 'the other'.)

Yep. He's been active (at least showing as online). Hasn't responded to messages, emails, calls, texts ... not too upset about it. I have the Hookies awards as a backup plan - which isn't too shabby!

 

I would much rather be in Palm Springs, though.

It's true that a Skype session can be reused or re-posted and anyone who uses their webcam should always bear this in mind. However, I doubt that a client asking an escort for a Skype session would be willing to pay anything like an adult modelling rate. I would think they would have in mind the sort of rate charged by 'webcam boys,' but I have no idea what this is currently.

I don't actually webcam/Skype for a fee, just as a service to verify my appearance to serious escort clients. At my discretion, I may take my shirt off briefly and make small talk for a few minutes. I will not discuss business on camera or let the session degrade into cybersex.
