Josh Ryley writes really well. It's personal, and heartfelt, and sincere, and it does their relationship justice.

I saw both escorts in my neighborhood a lot. When something this tragic happens, I wonder if it would be odd to offer your own sympathies? Coming from a total stranger I'm sure it would be odd, but after reading that, one just wants to reach out to a fellow human being...

At a time of loss, every expression of condolence is welcomed and appreciated. You can just say what you say here in your first sentence. This is, after all, a public forum (for those members of the public who wish to check in). So it's not as if you're betraying confidential or compromising information.

I sent mine to Josh today, as well as to a client of Arpad's who had contacted me when they were in DC last fall. Both were very sweet and friendly about it.
