Bug? Bad cookie?

I had my machine set up so I never have to "sign in": The Message Forum automatically did that for me.

 

Now, despite clicking on "Remember Me", I still have to sign in. Fortunately, the machine knows my

username and password, so all I have to do is enter "g" in the username and then click on the password spot.

 

But the auto-signon is gone. What gives?
