masseurs in NY

hello,

just wondering if any of you had any experience with the following masseurs? i have been deceived quite a few times with masseurs turning out to be someone with a different face or a completely different body. any help or suggestions to other masseurs would be appreciated!

I don'[t know any of these masseurs. However, I can tell you that the last picture in Stephan's ad is from a recent Undergear catalog. One would think that this jerk would make a better effort to scam potential clients.

I also think that these rates of $200 per hour are ridiculous. And any rate for 30 minutes should be a BIG RED FLAG!

There really isn't any way for you to know if these pictures are really those of the masseur. As discussed so often in this forum, M4M, Masseurfinder, and the other sites, such as Manworks here, are crap shoots. When you find a keeper, keep him!

Thanks for the Renzi face pic, wow! I may have to try him myself. The kingnyc guy doesn't look too bad in his pics either. As for Stephan's ad, I don't know him, but why is the assumption that his Undergear catalog pics aren't him? It doesnt seem to be a stretch that an Undergear model would also escort/massage.

you could always let the person know that if you show up and they are not the person in the photos you will walk. if they are fake most likely they would find a reason not too see you..

er, isn't that what i just said?? lol

I meant, why isn't that more commonly used-surely that would prevent guys from using more fake pics?

Irtwo, sure it's possible that an Undergear model would also escort/massage. But the first and last photos in "Stephan's" ad are clearly different people.

Hornytwells, yes, one would wonder why a client wouldn't just walk away (or slam the door if it's my own apartment) when the masseur isn't the same guy in the photo. Here's why I don't: I'm mentally all set for a massage. Either I've traveled to the guy's place, or I have my place set up, and I'm not doing anything else that night, and I just don't want to call it off. Hope always springs eternal; I'm hoping that just because it's not the same guy, it's a guy who can do a good job.

So you're not at all naive. I suppose that if the guy looked like a scrawny nerd instead of the gorgeous hunk in the photo, I might slam the door, or get back in the elevator and go home.

And because of all these scams, I almost never hire a guy based on his pictures. I have enough reliable "keepers" now, and I don't have to go fishing. Almost any new masseur now has to be recommended by someone I know, or at least in this chat room.

Thanks Beethoven, and yes I understand your reasoning, especially if the guy turns out to be hot enough. But my point was, why doesnt the prospective client sayin advance of meeting, i.e. during the initial phone or email exchange that if the masseur is not the person in the pics then he will walk away. I would think that it might go some way to lessening the amount of pic fraud, no? or are they relying on the fact that once you are there, you will be horny and it doesnt matter?

And to throw some more kerosene on the fire here...

About 10 days ago I had the opportunity for a thorough massage (90-minute, mostly therapeutic/sensual). Found a guy on Masseurfinder in NYC who was highly recommended and exceptionally handsome. Called, made an appointment at HIS place, reconfirmed, and since he was not too forthcoming about the availablity of a shower before (and after), I called a friend who lives about 15 blocks from this guy, stopped in and took a very extensive shower to make sure I was as clean as I can be when I arrived.

Got to the address he gave me, called him and no one answered and it was a very locked front door (about 3 or 4 people standing outside, including a DHL man, all trying to get in, but I had neither a real name, apartment number or floor). Ten minutes later he walked up to me on the street, and took me to the next building (he obviously gave me the wrong address). Upstairs we went to what was a professional therapy office (but after 5:00 PM so no one else was there. Thank heavens I showered before -- bathroom was a small sink and toilet.. I did use scented handywipes again on certain areas, and went into his studio.

90 minutes later, after a great massage I left. BUT the only sensual elements - he massages in the nude, but you are on such an oddly configured table, there was no attempt to mutually touch, and at the end -- 5 minutes before time up - he asked if I wanted to touch his muscles!!! Geez. I would NEVER pay $230 for muscle worship. I have had better massages with a LOT more interaction for $50-$75 less for the same amount of time.

Wrote a positive review on his massage, not so positive on the sensual elements and his pricing ($230 for 90 min). Oddly he had my review completely removed from his profile on Masseurfinder... So much for trying to be up and honest about these encounters.

Hornytwells, I can't see doing what you suggest. If anyone were to say, arranging the appointment in an e-mail or phone call, "And if you're not being honest with me, I'll walk away," what kind of atmosphere does that set up? If a prospective client said that to me, I'd respond, "Well, if that's your attitude, forget the whole thing. I'm an honest person, and I'm insulted that you would think otherwise." And even if he didn't say anything like that, I think there would be a strained relationship right off the bat, as soon as he walked in -- and survived my scrutiny!! You're right in trying to vet these masseurs, but I don't think your suggested solution is practical.

Well I wouldnt have put it quite as tactlessly as that. Something along the lines of I know that discretion can be a major factor, so I would understand if his pics were suggestive of his type, or was he comfortable to post his real pics? Also, are there any recriminations from the website if a client reports the use of fraudulent pics?

I think there's a subtle way of doing it. In the phone conversation you could emphasize your enthusiasm about his appearance, and that you're looking forward to seeing what you see in the pics in the flesh. Maybe even throw in an anecdote about having met other masseurs who didn't use authentic pics that disappointed you to the point that you didn't go through with it, and that you're looking forward to him being the antidote to those bad experiences. Ask him about details in the photo like how you admire his hair, or his abs, getting quite specific about the connection you're making to the photos. I've gone so far as to say things like, "how do you maintain your low body fat during the holidays, to keep those abs that ripped?" It sets a tone that you're very keen on his appearance in the photos, and gives you grounds for an assessment of his looks to make sure they match (at least reasonably) when you finally meet him.

I did that with one masseur a few months back. He insisted that the pics were indeed him, and I replied, well even if they are, you've gained a lot of weight since you took them, so you've still misrepresented yourself. And I walked out.

thanks so much for your feedback. i often wonder whether reviews on m4m and masseurfinder are authentic so i believe this confirms not to trust those reviews. does anybody have any suggested listings on their personal favorites in the nyc area?

an update:

strongjocktouch4u has not been responded to emails or texts. i'm hoping he was not made up by manworks to attract people to search.

thekingnyc only does outcalls and does not do erotic massages.
