I visited Sydney a few years ago and came across an agency that accommodated incalls (i.e. brothel). It's legal in Sydney and the experience was sort of like a scene out of a movie. The location was very similar to a brownstone townhouse. I had called ahead for an appointment. Just to correct your statement: you're right that sex-work is lawful in Australia and sex-workers are generally expected to register; but in the UK, prostitution is not legal. The UK police typically do not intervene in sex-work that is consensual, not on the street and not involving other illegal activities (drugs, human trafficking etc).
