Are you really suggesting that a poster here questioning the accuracy of posted pictures in a Las Vegas escort ad that are identical to ones also posted on model mayhem for a portuguese spanish speaking model (different heights, weights etc.) is trashing an escort?

I believe both Jaker27’s and jimboivyo’s posts are directed at pittstudforyou’s first post.

I still can't figure out if the OP is being accused of promoting an escort who may not be who he claims to be or if the OP is being accused of calling attention to the escort so that he will be trashed. :(

Interesting and could be true either way. Seems his track record points to the trashing side of it though.

Sorry- I just reviewed all 12 of his posts, and I think it's a stretch to suggest his agenda is trashing escorts.

He made favorable comments about several escorts - i don't think the intent was to have them trashed. And I still can't figure out why you used the metaphor of 'dropping a bombshell'. But that just my opinion. Maybe I just don't expect people to be so devious.

I concur completely. Personally, I wish we had an ongoing sticky thread titled: "ESCORTS WHO MAY BE MODELS - PROCEED WITH CAUTION."

In my opinion, the chance that a professional model escorts as well is slim—and the chance that they would use their professional photos that can be easily traced back to their real name is virtually nil. I don't care if you think you met with Tyson Beckford—you are either wrong, or lying.

The term "professional model" is almost as tenuous as the term "professional escort." Everyone who gets hired to sit for a photo shoot these days, no matter what they get paid, no matter the client, are referred to as "models." If you get paid (by check) and receive a 1099, it may be fair to use the word "professional."

I mean no disrespect to Model Mayhem users, but having an ad there does not qualify you as a "professional model." The boy in question has not worked much. And he certainly hasn't done any major ad campaigns.

There was a guy years ago on Rentboy who was signed with Boss. He used some of his older portfolio images in his ad. He said they were "test" images, meaning there was no exchange of money and no specific job. You'd have to dig and dig more to find out his "model" name, but it was online at the agency's website. He told me his model name was not his birth name, and he didn't care if gay men found out about his dual career. He said everyone in modeling was having sex with multiple partners, and almost no one got it for free. He was European, so his attitude about these things was not traditional. Plus, his look was limited in the American marketplace. He knew he would not become a household name/face, and he didn't work enough to sustain a life in NYC.

He said he worked mostly at runway and fittings, and the folks who cast for those jobs didn't care about his other careers. He said some guys won't walk a runway in underwear, and he had no problem strutting his stuff.

It's true, there aren't many "professional model" guys who would choose a lack of discretion. But it's also true that Model Mayhem is not an agency. It's nothing more than a glorified Craigslist with pictures. There are plenty of "model" jobs that don't require a contracted model. It wouldn't be my choice, but who cares if the Latin guy plays loose and carefree with all his careers? Other than on this board, who else is doing investigative work, matching escort photos to Model Mayhem ads? Let's not forget, most people have a life.

You know what I mean—like the fitness model in Nashville who is supposed to be an escort. Riiiight. I'm not saying he isn't an escort, but there's no way he'd use his modeling pics to advertise.

I’ve hired guys that have used their Model Mayhem (as well as other “model” sites) pics in their escort ads. I don’t think it’s that uncommon.

I agree that posting on model mayhem doesn not a prefessional model make, however, Max's point is absolutely correct. There may or may not be lots of models who escort but they would absolutely NOT use their own modeling pictures in their escort ads which would allow people to easily trace their escort persona to their professional or real name.

Also how many of those model mayhem escorts post in Portuguese and live in Spain yet claim to be a white English speaking pilot/stunt man living in Las Vegas with different heights and weights?

Very well said. After reading that sentence how could anyone possibly believe the escort is legit? If there is anyone who can't resist testing him out, I suggest you ask him to send you a photo doing something you make up. Like "please send me a face photo and hold up a book or three fingers or today's paper", whatever you come up with. I just wouldn't trust the guy who posted the ad enough to meet him alone anywhere.

You'd think Sr. Lisbon could have at least thrown in a Ç or an à in there somewhere.
