I am with you bvb. I can't see how it is harder or even as hard as escorting. Granted I have not been either a waiter or an escort, however I have been "served" by both many many times. There are similarities but also some very distinct differences. It is difficult to make direct comparisons as there are aspects of each job that is probably more difficult than the others but overall I just have to believe escorting is harder. I think of my experience at a restaurant and see that there are so many things that go into an enjoyable time....ambiance, food, dining companion and of course service. I personally think that very few of us could be a top of the line escort. In thinking about this, one reason I don't see waiting tables as difficult, is because I am probably the perfect customer. So I really don't ever see or experience that negative side to the business. I can't ever remember a time where I caused a problem with a waiter or waitress. I just don't see the need. They are rarely responsible for any problems that you encounter in a restaurant, and have little power at their disposal to solve a problem. Waiters can and do call managers in to deal with unusually rude customers, escorts can't do that. Waiters do only have to deal with rude clients for a few brief moments at the table, and over the course of a meal, the time frame really isn't long, where as escorts might be stuck with a client over the course of an entire evening or worse yet weekend. Over the course of an evening, in the middle of a hire, if a client says something rude or unkind to an escort, the escort would probably weight his options and try and decide if leaving is in fact the best course of action, since most likely he has not been paid. And how many times have we heard about an escort getting stiffed on a payment, and left with little or nothing to show for an entire evening or hours of work. Waiters do get paid, by sharing tips and by the base salary that they receive.

 

In the end I just personally feel that escorts are forced to bring a lot more to the table in order to perform their jobs, including performing sexually when in fact they would probably sometimes much prefer not to.
