A question for escorts and masseurs

Can you identify any specific (post high school) course of instruction that has significantly assisted you in your endeavors as an escort? Please share details as appropriate.

This might be a college class, trade school, sports training, seminar, etc.

For massage I graduated from a 750 hr program in just over 6 months going full time To a local massage school. Then I worked from 1998 to 2003 in a sports & rehabilitation clinic b4 going out on my own. back then massage school cost 4500.00 now over 9000.00. In 2007 the state of Ga passed massage laws making performing massage without a state license illegal. I must also perform 24hrs of hands on continuing education courses every 2 years and renew the license as well every 2 years.

I'm not an escort, but if I were, I would just have lots and lots of sex before hanging out my shingle... Practice makes Perfect ! :o

Perhaps the world needs an "escort college" ???

You already have had numerous PHDs ( pretty huge dicks ).:p I like an over achiever.

An additional question. Is there either a reciprocity agreement between states (or a recognized national certification) regarding your license?

Also the benefit of a well-rounded liberal arts undergraduate degree help in one's ability to relate to folk and be able to converse around a large body of topics.

Dang it! There's yet another reason why I will never have a successful rentboy career. I'm cursed with these multiple science degrees that have left me wonkish and socially awkward.

There is a national test that one must pass along side of the state required certification. back in 2007 Ga did grandfather all those practicing massage for 2 years or longer who could prove it with tax returns. however they still must do the 24hrs of education ever 2 years. the grandfathering option had a small window at the time. I'm not sure how it plays in regarding traveling between states. I know a guy that moved here from SC about 6 months ago and he had to show his certification and transfer his licensing to GA.

I know different states have their own req. Ga i believe is 500hrs last time I checked. New york and florida have longer hour requirements. I know some try to use the term bodywork when not licensed but there's a rang from state to state. Here in Ga you can not use the terms massage, massage therapy, massage therapist, LMT LT deep tissue, without a license. here what falls under bodywork which is exempt from massage lic is reflexology, acupressure, acupuncture, bodywork, body rub, rub down, rub, Reiki

Hey, hey, hey .... if we've learned nothing else in the last few days, it's that wonkish and socially awkward wins.

The NYT reported that in the week before the election, 20% of their traffic was for Nate Silver's 538 blog. Post-election, his book saw sales spike by 850%, becoming the #2 book on Amazon.com

He's as wonkish and socially awkward as they come. BE PROUD, NERDS! REPRESENT! :p

I would second Mr. Slater's comments... if you are going to be with someone for more than an hour, it is nice if they have proper grammer, know something about the world in which we live and can talk about a variety of topics in a knowledgable way... especially true for an overnight, a weekend or a week long companion. I once cut short an experience as there was only one thing my companion could do... it was fun for an evening... but he was a bore when all was said and done. That was a shame, because he had a lot of great attributes, but they were good only for an hour or two at the most....
