A month or so ago, I received a call which went to voicemail the minute I picked it up, so I quickly called back the number. No answer.

 

Ten minutes later I had another call from the same number from a 40's sounding guy asking who this was. I said "Steve, you called me and I missed your call by seconds and called you back". He said "This is my daughters phone and she's 15, are you her boyfriend". I said no, I must be mistaken sorry.

 

Ten minutes passed and I received a text message "Hi this is Chloe, don't telll my dad I am messaging you, I just wondered if you see girls". It's the same in the UK, the bars operate a "Challenge 21" and some a "Challenge 25" scheme whereas if you look under 21 or under 25 you won't be served a drink unless you have ID. ID cards arn't issued in the UK but those that need ID for bars etc can apply for ID to prove that they are of legal age to buy cigarettes and alcohol.
