We walked by the theater where The Performers starts previews next week, right after we leave. The poster shows Cheyenne Jackson's sexy legs off well.

other upcoming shows that I want to see are

Dead Accounts with the always funny Norbert Lee Butz

Golden Boy

The Anarchist

The Other Place,

and, maybe, Cat on A Hot Tin Roof.

what are you looking to see?

Picnic

Golden Boy

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike

Giant (Public)

Nice Work if You Can Get It (w/ a replacement cast)

Most of all--finally the release of the new recording of Kurt Weill's One Touch of Venus, which was a hit at Encores over a decade ago. It was Mary Martin's first major success in a starring role in the early 1940s.

The buzz is that Scandalous is a disaster.

I agree with that remark. Not looking good. KLG also wrote the lyrics...AND, the show is about Amiee Semple McPherson a famous preacher.

SCANDALOUS is the new musical based on the life of Aimee Semple McPherson, the trailblazing media superstar, whose passion for saving souls equaled her passion for making headlines. Set in 1920s Los Angeles, holiness collides with Hollywood in the extraordinary tale of one woman's charismatic rise to fame amidst scandalous love affairs and growing controversy, inevitably ending in her much-publicized fall from grace.

Will comment on Scandalous in a separate thread.

My "looking-forward-to's" are:

Norbert Leo Butz in Dead Accounts

Cheyenne Jackson and Henry Winkler in Performers (which I suspect will be terrible, but heck...Cheyenne as a porn star...prayers are answered.) Seeing this with nine friends on Halloween.

Giant at the Public Bobby Steggert and Brian D'Arcy James!!!

Checkers at the Vineyard

Golden Boy, (LCT at the Belasco)

Piano Lesson at the Signature

Whale at Playwright's Horizon

Drood, again.

Christmas Story...which has the makings of a great musical...

And that's just off the top of my head. LOL
