Ron Suskind’s book is an insider’s view of the Whitehouse during Obama’s first two years in office. It’s subtitled Wall Street, Washington, and The Education of a President. It could easily be subtitled The Dysfunctional Whitehouse or When Leaders Don’t Lead. Though Suskind’s sense of frustration percolates though every now and then, for the most part he writes with a good journalist's even hand. In it he focuses on what went wrong in the formulation of the health care bill and the handling of the financial crisis.

For me it was a real eye opener, giving the specifics of what I suspected was going on. I found it to be as much a page turner as a good action/adventure novel. Highly recommended reading!
