Slippery slope between stripping and escorting?

The strippers i've been entertained with of late are actually a lot more hotter than most of the guys i've perused on rentboy.... which leads to the question:

 

Is there a slippery slope between working as a stripper vs. escorting? I mean, some strippers i've met (without naming specific locations or cities) have offered more than just a lapdance, while others hesitate and do not do anything more than just the lapdance (not even the champagne room). Are more strippers straight (or bi) and just trying to make some extra bucks without crossing a line? Is it that lucrative? Does one approach a stripper and ask if they can do something more private?? I don't want to get into any trouble or get smacked ...How much can one really do in the champagne room/closet? I'm a little OCD and grossed out with hygiene concerns from previous users, etc...? I'm not sure i would enjoy the champagne room that much...

Don't worry about getting "into any trouble or....smacked" because odds are VERY good that you won't be the first to ask. Most dancers have heard the question/offer many times before meeting you. A discreet, "Do you ever do private shows?" is easy enough after your first time or two.

Yes this certainly has been my experience also. Many many times they will ask me what I pay, and more often than not, when I quote the going rate, they are more than a little surprised at how much these guys get. It happened just the other night in WEHO. The dancer was shocked that I would pay him 200+ dollars for an hour. Now we will just have to wait and see if he calls.

Add me to the list of posters that believes strippers can be had much cheaper than official escorts. I actually prefer strippers to escorts as "what you see is what you get". Sure they can have more limitations on what they do in the bedroom but at least there are no surprises about how they look or carry themselves. I find Rentboy et al to be too much of a crapshoot. I don't have recent experience with NYC, but in Miami, you can hire a top stripper for $300-$400 for a 3-4 hour date. That's generally much more than they make on an average night stripping.

I agree EZE....and the nice thing is as you say, that you can talk to them right there face to face and go over what they will or will not do. I rarely have had a surprise in that dept.

I totally agree with you BVB. Because they are not officially escorts, I think they do appreciate the "get to know you time" at the bar. They can decide if they are comfortable enough with you to go on a date.

 

Funny thing is, for me, it has nothing to do with what they charge. If the tables were turned and strippers were more expensive than escorts, I would still prefer strippers. There is just a better chance for me to find what I like with a stripper than an escort. Of course, it's not for everyone, but it works for me.

I have had some WONDERFUL experiences with talented and hot men I "auditioned" at a strip club in NYC. I would say, my best experiences ever.

 

Both were the kind of macho but nice guys who would describe themselves a bisexual (as opposed to buy-sexual), and one of them wanted to meet me privately, down the street from the club to head back to my room.

 

But my oh my ... once we got behind closed doors ...!

 

One night, the first fellow I asked about "private shows" politely declined, but seemed flattered, or at least, not bothered or angry. The second ...

While strippers often have one foot in the escort box box already, I think perhaps they may be a bit lazy about becoming full fledged entreprenuers and running a business of their own. Some guys dont want that responsibility, and find stripping an excellent alternative where they can also pick up clients for "added benefits" without all the trapping that come along with setting up appts, scheduling, cancellations and other bullshit. Yes, for the client its a cheaper alternative, until the stripper realizes his full potential and earning power, so take advantage of it while you can boys. These hidden treasures dont last long....

Well 12is12, since you have no experience, here are my thoughts and what works for me. It is fun to mix up how and who I hire from time to time. First, I only hire after seeing them dance and interacting with them over a period of several weeks. Most of these guys have set hours at the club and so you know when and where they will be. All of them have other jobs and I have gone to see them elsewhere. It is nice being with someone who does not do this as a profession. As many many members here have mentioned it is like hiring the college student off of CL, or guys on CL that have other jobs. Most don't have the attitude or the feeling that they are special because they are escorts. Now not all escorts are like that, but most of these guys are really down to earth and are genuinely intrigued about being hired.

 

I was at Mickey's a couple of months ago and one of the dancers I recognized from my local Starbucks, some 20 miles from WEHO. I was surprised to see him and we had a good laugh. I final hired him the other night, and it was wonderful, like being with a bf....there are little hidden gems all over the city.

 

12is12(great screen name by the way) I would pick out a local club, find a little hottie you like, ask him when he works and start being a regular. Tipping him a few dollars at a time is all you will need to get his attention, and trust me the conversation will come up...have fun!

 

Rarely are any of these guys in it for the long haul, most are in school or have definite career plans, as a lot of escorts do also. Nothing is forever in that business.

I can only speak for myself, but they are happy to Hang around with me at the strip club for 30-60 minutes or more when I am buying the booze and tipping them while they are with me. It's a small investment to make in order to see if the guy seems like he would be good fun outside.

Well welcome to SoCal baby! Sadly, no strippers in SoCal, just the gogo boys, and sadly no privates. Not like Montreal or Miami. Funny you should ask about the boys. A dancer from Mickey's just texted me a few minutes ago, he wanted to do a private outside the club tonight, but I have friends in from out of town and we are all going to the "Faultline" in Hollywood. They are having a muscle show with dancers tonight at 10:30.

 

Most all the clubs in WEHO have gogo boys, but Mickey's is by far the most tolerant about touching. Don't know your type, but I like the bigger guys. Wednesday and Sunday Mickey's has more of a Latino flair, about 70%. Most of them are a little bigger, but there are some smaller guys there also. They rotate every 45 min or so around the club. When they are toward the back of the club, where it is really pretty dark and out of sight of the managers, almost anything goes. The some of the boys will encourage all the touching you can handle. Some of the guys keep the touching to a minimum, but you can tell after only giving them a couple of dollars, how much they will allow.

 

 

Some of the other clubs like "Here Bar" and "The Abbey" the guys are all up front,they are well lit up by the lights, and you are pretty limited to the touching that you can do.

 

My favs are:

 

The Abbey.. in the afternoon food and drinks, with plenty of eye candy.

The Mother Lode.. for late afternoon. Make sure Charlie the bartender is there, real sweet heart and cute as can be.

Mickey's.. for late night gogo boys, Wed and Sunday...but Fri and Sat it is really wild.

Eleven.. for happy hour. Older crowd but some young guys will hit on you and are looking for business, but on the down low.

Trunks..Great for meeting the locals who don't have the WEHO attitude.

Revolver..Friday or Saturday nite very late. A lot of gym type muscle boys that are in there 30- 40's +..nice crowd but hard to

talk to anyone unless you are in a group. Great bartenders.

 

That's it for now...God I sound like a Orbitz travel guide. If you want a tour some friday or Saturday nite and just want to walk around and get a feel for the clubs and don't want to do it alone, just give me a holler. No problem.
