Not sure if I'm posting this in the correct section but here goes......

I hired a guy who advertised on M4RN several months back. His ad went away pretty much as soon as we'd settled on a day and time. I saw him twice, both overnights. I had said, at one point, that I would consider him as my regular go-to guy but then he started experiencing some hometown and family drama so I went a little distant.

Now he's saying that I promised to see him on a regular basis and ........

"I am going to trust that you will work something out.. Whatever it might be, I am a nice guy but not that nice and not very nice at all when I feel like I have been done wrong.. I have a lot of emails (intimate things about your family plus other stuff) and stuff that people would like to know about that you don't want ever hearing or knowing.. So think about that! I invested to much energy and time for you to turn around and play me like that! Not going to happen!"

I think I'm looking at experiencing blackmail.

All opinions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Having experienced something like this about a decade ago from a Canadian escort I had seen on and off for nearly a year, I too suggest you immediate find a good and reliable (and discreet) attorney to advise you.

The guy who tried to do this to me threatened to out me, ruin my career and family etc... in a tell-all he was threatening to write of his experiences with as he termed it "pathetic American and European older men". Fortunately for me, I had flown him twice to locations and had to have his real name etc... for purchasing the ticket so I did two things quickly: 1) completely dropped the e-mail and phone nmber he knew (which was easy as I had moved 18 months previously); and 2) told him I had retained a lawyer and was going to let my lawyer loose on HIM if he even once mentioned me in public. It seemed to work.

Do NOT let anyone every get far in blackmailing you.

Happened to me, too. About a decade ago with a Gaiety dancer from Canada (maybe the same as Adriano46?).

He was practicing to be an Olympic ballroom dancer. I informed him:

1-If he tried anything, I would inform US Immigration and he would be in their computer system and not allowed back into this country.

2-He could kiss his Olympic dreams good-bye as I would make sure they were notified of his activities.

Never heard from him again.

Seeing a lawyer is great advice.

Get as much personal information on him and his family as possible.

Try to get him to put in writing, such as an email, exactly what he’s proposing. Perhaps send him an email simply asking “What do you want?” The intent is to get an incriminating statement from him.

You should respond with his real name and tell him that you will be reporting this to his local police precinct via your attorney. Wait for a response.
