Interesting article but every review, whether on amazon or daddys, should be taken with a grain of salt. It depends a lot on the individual. The person's history and previous experience on that topic will of course inform his review/experience. And not everyone's history will be the same. Paying a 3rd party to bump up your positive reviews is deceptive when they are not really unsolicited.

Reading online reviews, whether it's on Amazon, TripAdvisor or here on Daddy's, takes some skill and practice. You've got to learn to weed out the glowing, 5-star reviews that don't really have any information in them as well as the terrible reviews where someone obviously has an axe to grind. And then, on Amazon for example, there often seem to be one-star reviews from some idiot who is complaining that the UPS driver delivered the package to their neighbors house, and so they give the product a bad review. WTF?!?

However, when there are lots of reviews, you can usually learn something by ignoring the best and worst reviews, and reading the comments of reviewers in the middle.
