I pose this question to get everyone's thoughts....

If a client hires an escort, is it acceptable to touch any of the escorts personal property? Added to that, what if the client broke or stole the personal property from the escort? What does this say about the client? If the escort is then approached by the client to be seen again, should the escort give the client a second chance?

1) of course nOT, unless he asked first and was told OK

2) Stolen items would have to be proven, and then returned or paid for unless the escort chooses to press charges. Something broekn by accident SHOULD be paid for unless dismissed by the escort.

3) Thats totally up to the escort to decide and answer.

The answer for me at least is very clear. I can't imagine touching a escorts personal property, ie: cell phone, wallet, clothes or anything that was in his home or was brought with him to mine. That is almost sacred ground for me. Not to be overly dramatic, but I would not even consider moving personal property across a room or to another table, without asking first. Touching personal property is taboo in my book. I think that it is a matter of respect, I don't even go into other rooms when I am with an escort without asking first.

If a client broke personal property, it should be replaced without question, if not, then I don't feel the escort should ever see the client again. Why would you? As to your question about theft, if a client stole something from an escort, why on Gods Earth would you even consider giving someone like that a second chance.

It is interesting that you should propose this question Rik, as many members only hear about escorts stealing or breaking clients property. It does go both ways in almost every situation. I have learned so much on the forum about how escorts are wronged almost routinely. It is as difficult for these escorts as it is for the rest of us.

i am not one to promote theft or violence of any sort (against a person or property), but I ask this question concerning an incident I had a year or so ago. I answered an ad on CL for massage. I went to his residence. The massage took place. (an ok massage, I was nude, nothing even remotely sensual/sexual/erotic took place. Afterwards when I was dressing, I noticed a small webcam pointed at the table. It didnt appear to be on. (I can't imagine why anyone would want to tape me). My first thought was to take or break the camera. I didn't do it, however. I ended up posting several warning posts on CL everytime I saw his ad for several weeks.

He tried to get defensive at me for "snooping" but it was on a table, behind a kleenex box, right next to the massage table, so not exactly hidden.

Please define "personal property of an escort"[/color]

Lets say..

-car keys that may be left on an endtable

-watch sitting on an endtable

-clothes left in an open suitcase

-cell phone on a table

-grooming products on the bathroom counter

-laptop on a desk

- Heck I'll even say the escort themselves...fondling the escort in a public resturant without asking to touch 1st

- By touching any of those items, damage was done or the item was broken.

You don't touch anybody's personal property without permission. Period. It doesn't matter if the owner is an escort, client, or the boy who does the boots and shoes. If it ain't yours, don't touch it.

So the next time I am in a DARK BACKROOM, I will ask permission before I reach out and grab the guys dick. Social ettiquette is my strong-suit and goal. :D

It is absolutely NOT ACCEPTABLE for either a working guy or hiring guy to touch each one's personal property without proper discussion and permission from both parties

Couldn't have said it better myself! Thanks, Bill!

Wait a minute! There are exceptions to every rule. If I go to an escort's home, and his dog comes to greet me, I damn well WILL TOUCH the dog! First, I will show him the back of my hand. If his tail is still wagging and he hasn't bit me, I will pet him. Sorry if that violates the personal property of the escort, but I like dogs.

I think it depends. For example, a bed or a couch or chair-no brainer. Toiletries-maybe-depending on what he/she offers, when letting you shower? But apart from that everything should be off limits-unless offered.

Now grabbing the escort in a public place-well depends on what you agreed on?

As a general rule, don't touch personal articles but there can be special circumstances. Over the years of hiring, particularly during overnights and extended appointments, I recall a few times having to touch (move) some things. For example, moving a cell phone, car keys and watch left on a table while the escort was in the restroom and room service came to deliver dinner. Also picking up clothes and laying them out after being discarded on the floor during the fun. Moving his overnight bag off my suitcase so i could get an aspirin (he was asleep so I did not want to bother him). There were a few other times but again they are exceptions that are fairly benign. If in touching/moving anything, I were to cause damage then I definitely would be responsible for repair or replacement.

Totally agree with this one as i have moved escorts "things" while he was in the shower. ie picking clothes up off the floor etc. I have helped an escort pack his stuff up too, but i guess that was in full view. I probably have picked up his shorts to smell them too. On the other hand I have been asked by escorts if they can use my bath wash which I left in the tub, so this was very respectful of them. but in general other than practical handling, one shouldnt touch any one else's stuff no matter where or who they are with.

This is really one of those questions that defies and black-and-white answer. It depends totally on context and personalities. As a general rule, of course we should be respectful of someone else's personal property. However, there are times when crossing the invisible line breaks through a threshold of intimacy and says, in an unspoken way, "we're friends."

Recently, I was chatting with a bartender while looking at some maps of our location on my iPad. I set the iPad down on the bar while we were talking, and a few moments later he picked it up and started tapping away, zooming and panning on the map, etc. As he did this, I was silently pretty shocked at how presumptuous he was, but moments later as he set it down and we continued chatting, I realized that the gesture broke through a bartender-guest barrier and made me feel like the guy considered me a friend.

On paper, it could definitely be argued that his action was totally inappropriate. However, in this case, it came across as warm and friendly.
