Not a fan. There's a couple of bi scenes from Corbin Fisher of somebody (I forget who) fucking Bryan Cavallo, and a scene with Dawson, the Rosso twins, and a girl, but that's about the only ones I can tolerate. otherwise, even the straight porn going on in the background of some of the scenes is a distraction.

Lately, I've seen more & more women involved in gay porn, both behind & in front of the camera. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were.

If they're in front of the camera, isn't it usually bi porn? Or is it still considered gay if the emphasis is on the guy/guy action?

Seems like the labelling can get tricky!

Seeing guy/girl sex doesn't do anything for me - at best, it's a distraction and potentially it's a turn-off if the focus is on the woman (e.g., cunnilngus).

Interesting question Irish69. I am with poolboy on this one. For me, seeing a women in the scene is very distracting. I would probably eject the DVD if I realized that a women would be in the whole scene. It has happened before, and seeing a women in the scene unexpectedly was a turn-off, and left me irritated that I had rented the DVD in the first place.

As to your question about women directing, I am not sure that a straight women would know what a gay man wants to see. I have discussed some of my escapades with some of the Lesbians I know, and they even thought that some of the things that I considered 'Hot' to be uncomfortable to talk about. I think that the gender gap there would be hard to bridge. I believe that gay men and women look at sex very differently. Much the same way that straight men and women do not see sex in the same light.

I understand why some gay men enjoy it. I'm not into seeing women participating when I want to see gay porn. I don't mind if it's playing in the background though.

That post with the woman just watching on the stairs is just weird though.

It seems that the bi scenes from Corbin Fisher that the women is involved for about the first 5 or 10 minutes and then when the men start getting it on she is about as important as the lamp next to the bed. The focus goes totally away from her and directly on the men.

I see having women in gay-related porn as sort of a "gateway" for guys who might have misgivings about their attractions to other guys. With a woman in the scene, they can justify to themselves that it's OK to watch the scene, even if like in the Corbin Fisher example (which I have not seen for myself) it is essentially a gay scene with a woman included. I've been with clients where they want to have bi porn in the background, and to me it seems like the scene is very gay-focused but the client enjoys it and maybe it makes them feel safe in their minds. It's not something I'd choose for myself but respect if that's what someone else wants to see.

I did some shoots for a company that had a woman as the producer. She did the casting picks and handled all the logistics, though she stayed of the set (intentionally) during the shooting. She was a cool gal and added a different energy to the pre- and post-production stuff, and personally I would not have minded her being on the set during the shoot either.

I completely agree. Also, they can add some twists to the storyline, however thin.

As a paraplegic friend of mine said: "All sex is in the mind, afterall."
