Apparently Adam Faust has died. I'm shocked to say the least. They have released cause of death yet.

I only knew Adam casually, but he was a really nice guy and I doubt he ever went out of his way to cause anyone unhappiness.

I spoke with his mother this morning. He was back in NY visiting family and contemplating a move back east. He was happy and upbeat about the future. His dad found him unresponsive and despite everyone’s efforts they were unable to revive him.

The COD is a heart attack. The autopsy results (which are SOP in NY for someone Adam’s age who dies suddenly) won’t be back for approximately three months.

I have no idea if his heart attack was induced by substance abuse, but then neither does anyone else commenting on these boards. It is not common, but relatively young people do die from cardiac arrest.

He was someone’s child, so a little restraint and respect is in order.

I hooked up with Adam a number of times when he was in NYC. He was a really nice down-to-earth guy... and a very kind individual. He had an endearing stutter which at times made him seem so very vulnerable... Yet he was extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of S&M. One of the first things that he confided in me concerned the fact that his real name was Adam... Of course the Faust was derived from the German word for fist... but we never went there as it is not exactly my thing. He also said that he practiced S&M in his private sex life as well.

 

Interestingly, I enjoyed my first time with him so much that I scheduled a second session less than a week later... and during that appointment he very shyly asked if I knew about a website where they reviewed escorts and if I would consider writing a review of our time together... He was oh so bashful and somewhat embarrassed to even make such a request... Of course I had already a number of reviews under my belt at the time and little did he know that I had intended to submit a review before he even asked! Incidentally, the review mentioned Goethe, the Gounod opera Faust, and the fact that Herr Faust had more than a bit of the devil in him!

 

In any event, I as saddened when I heard about this a few weeks ago...

Very sad, but for me not a surprise. I was just with Adam right after he had gotten back from the leather event in Chicago. He was very sweet, accomodating, and patient. This really hits home when that connection with someone is so recent. May God be with him.

I always hate it when people die and the most memorable mention or memory people can offer-up are those of how great he was as a porn performer or male escort as a person.

 

I realize that these were the areas he was immersed in and for many here are the only areas for which people knew him.

I'd be interested to know since there seems to be so many opinions of what did him in. The comments there are sickening. Allot of people judging him and saying some pretty vicious things.

There will always be a morbid curosity by some of why someone they really never knew died.

 

It would be simplistic to suggest that he died as he lived.

 

But isn't that what we all end up doing?

 

The message here, for me, is to do exactly what he did. Live every moment of your life the best you can do for you.

 

That's how you will die. That's what he did.

Yes ..The Passing in NYC of Adam Faust was announced 0n 8/23 in the Weho Confidential and passed on in the Forums on Muscle Service. He was 38 ..

 

I was surprised to see he made around 50 Films since 2004. But being of an BDSM Nature I'm guessing not seen by a Vanilla type of audience.

Uh, yeah, I read some of the nasty commentary, unfortunately. The reason it is improper to speak ill of the dead is that the deceased is no longer around to defend himself. I always thought that was just basic manners, something every child is taught, like covering your mouth when you yawn or saying "excuse me" when you bump into someone. That doesn't mean you have to eulogize that person. But if you had a beef with the deceased, just shut your damn trap.

Incidentally, while AF was a BDSM specialist I don't think that he did much as far as BDSM films were concerned... at least during the time frame when I knew and saw him he was doing all "vanilla stuff"... and that's a quote. However, not sure if he eventually branched out and did BDSM after that... if so I never saw any... but then again aside from checking out Boundgods etc. I am really not into watching porn... so others may have more insight than I.

Nothing wrong with that. That was a career and those that knew him from that angle will comment from that angle. His family/significant other/friends probably know him from a different angle-but they probably don't hang out in these sites.

I posted it yesterday simply because I first heard about it yesterday. I was shocked and saddened. I met Adam on my first trip to LA in January. He was a very nice man and treated me with a lot of dignity and respect. I will always have fond memories of him.
