Based only on the info provided in the ad, with some things having more weight than others, I would hire him. Here are my own personal pros and cons with the ad:

 

Pros: A variety of different pics with full face and body shots, well written text, 4star rating, mostly glowing reviews from that site linked to the ad. Handsome guy to me.

 

Cons: Seems uncomfortable in quite a few pictures and some he does look a bit sullen or as Max said morose. Perhaps the sense I get is that he is not relaxed because he seems too posed and gimmicky. More natural at play shots would have been better as well more pics with a smile. No clean shaven pics. I am not a huge fan of scruff but not so much as to tip the decision from hire to not hire considering everything else.

I found him friendlier in person than the pictures might lead you to expect. There are some people (myself included) who do not smile a lot naturally - and I often think my face is 45 degrees behind my mood (when I think I'm smiling slightly, I still look serious).

I'm a bit conflicted here. MC members who are clients post '411' threads here quite frequently, and it's pretty common for other members who have no experience/knowledge to chime in with opinions (hot, not my type, too twinkish, etc.), as well as for those who do have first-hand knowledge to respond.

 

The difference here (for me) is that Max is an escort too, so...is it wrong for him to ask for opinions about someone who may be competition? Granted, the question was perhaps more directed at the quality of the ad than the escort himself, but it did make me slightly uncomfortable. I can see why you might think that—and here's why I posted the thread (this one, and the one before). It's basically a survey to see what attracts you to an escort, what you find appealing, what you're willing to overlook, and what you're not.

 

1) It lets me see what the client's thinking process is in hiring someone.

2) It let's me see what a variety of you think about an escort's marketing ability.

- does having professional pictures make a difference in your enthusiasm?

- are there things that the escort could have done better?

- how fatal is a flaw in an escort's marketing?

 

Personally I don't think it's in poor taste, since these guys are allegedly professionals and would probably the first to ask you: "please tell me what you think of my ad." In the guy from Minnesota's case, I stumbled across his ad and was intrigued by the copy and concept, and wondered if clients would feel the same. I pointed out that apparently one of his construction pics was a generic photo lifted from iStock and asked the question: "does this matter to you if you're hiring?" As for Mike, I've watched him change his look over quite a period of time. Again—his ad was on the front page of M4RN, I saw the new pics and wondered if going through the trouble of having theme pics really does anything for anyone? Would people be more interested in that, or is it simply because it's Mike Austin and he's been around for a while and built a reputation?

 

If clients are attracted to Escort A's particular marketing techniques (and especially if that escort stands out from the pack to other escorts, like myself), then it's completely fair game for Escort B to ask: "what do you think about this aspect of Escort A's ad materials? Do you like them, do they matter to you, or not?"

 

Keep in mind the question is not "Have You Hired Him And Tell Me How Your Experience Was," it's "Would You Hire Him Based Off The Materials Shown."

 

Would you find the question "What do you think of this escort's approach to his advertising materials" to be in poor taste, or not?
