I'm heading to Sydney for a 6-8 week project. I've tried googling, but can't find the equivalent to rentboy or men4menescorts.

 

Anyone have suggestions on escorts and websites? Call me a cliche, but I prefer them big and built - bodybuilders.

I second Steven Draker's recommendations... I have met many a fine bloke through both of the sites he lists. Some were escorts and some were not. Actually, one of the best times I had in Sydney was with a guy I met in a bar in the "gayborhood" in Sydney. I was not looking for anything but a chance to relax after an intense day of work... a couple of drinks and then planned to head back to my hotel. Well, I did head back to my hotel, and will leave it at that. But, I saw him several times over the week that I was there. I also met a couple of guys while I was having lunch at one of the restaurants that have outdoor seating on the Quay (Harbor) near the Opera House. We struck up a conversations, they asked me where I was from, and we had a great conversation and shared a few drinks. I asked them if they would show me around "their city" and boy, did they ever!!!! Including their apartment where I spent one night. So, be open to new experiences. Steven is dead set correct. Do not bother with Rentboy in Australia. Case in point-when David-SF was here, he could not understand the lack of response. Told him to use gaydar-the phone "rang off the hook". Enjoy.

The websites contain mainly of headless torsos but when you go to their premises you actually get to meet the boys where you can freely discuss your preferences. I prefer that rather than replying to escorts' ads where they usually misrepresent themselves by displaying pics from many years ago.

 

I agree with Diverdan's suggestion of going to gaybars in Oxford street. Aussies have a soft spot for visitors. Just mingle in the crowd looking lost and vulnerable, wear your best smile, flaunt your American accent -- and you'll sure to meet someone.
