I had a guy today take a cab here. lol they don't realize how much a cab cost. 32.00 roundtrip. massage 75.00 plus left a 25.00 tip plus he had to get back for a meeting wasn't here but like 30 minutes

Ok, so it cost him $132.00 to get a boner and leave with Blue balls ???? Or did he leave smiling ???? Still not a bad total price in the scheme of things....

It's a marketing tool—a loss leader, if you will. The majority of massage clients I've seen are repeats, and many come back wanting to go a little deeper, as it were. I can also combine multiple appointments this way, without worrying about being tired or spent, and still be able to give someone the experience that they paid for and expect. You spend money to make money—and I don't see this as any different than buying toys or gear, spending money on a website or listings, or the gas to drive to see clients for outcalls. And I enjoy the hell out of massage—it's very relaxing.

Fort Lauderdale will be anxiously awaiting your arrival!!! and I have "Cash Money"

I stopped posting in the spa section because most of the guys mentioned aren't even real massage therapist. It's rare you ever see anyone even mentioned with any real training. Then again I have a feeling their clients aren't really looking for anything resembling a massage anyways

Any you bothered to answer? I would have put him on ignore after the previous call. I cannot imagine what you guys go through at times. I hate cheapskates, life is too short.

Actually I had already filtered him into a "pre-read" folder so it didn't alert me as being a new message.

I deal with far less bs by only booking by phone or text. over 90% of those turn into sessions. emails rarely do. it normally goes like this. hi joe saw your ad on massage m4m just wondering if you have any openings today? me: sure I currently do if interested in booking give me a call at ***-***-**** to set something up and to finalize. never hear from them again 95% of the time. those are the ones that think I'm stupid enough to give out my address and just let some random stranger in my home without a phone number on the books.

Mine is the opposite. Phone calls about half the time want to chat and book something "soon" or "in a couple of weeks." Almost never happens. Texts are hit and miss, it all depends on how they phrase the first one.

the majority of mine want it within a 2 hour time frame. massage is a spontaneous thing. very few want too book a day in advance. i had a guy on saturday book for a 90 minute massage he booked it a week in advance and left a 100.00 tip. some will book a day in advance but most will just call around until they find someone that will do it within 2 hrs.

uh? the topic??? I live on the east coast, I find that some "masseurs" are charging $150.00 an hour for a " full body, deep tissue, sports, Swedish, sensual, erotic" massage. Now if the escort is charging the same ( and yes some escorts charge more) and most escorts charge more ie 200.00 to 300.00 and hour, where is the value? I mean most traveling "masseurs" visiting my city do not come with their table. A massage on the hotel bed is a mess for the neck. Some of the traveling "masseurs" are also advertising as escorts on rentboy ie Andres 160 for an incall massage

http://www.massagem4m.com/ny/new-york-city/13237/

220.00 for the escort

http://www.rentboy.com/Listing.aspx?lid=314678&scid=74681104&sp=1&pos=2&locid=1622&iid=161236

And then there is Jason Sparks visiting

150.00 for a massage and for 50.00 more he is completely vers

http://www.rentboy.com/Listing.aspx?lid=278268&scid=74681104&sp=1&pos=0&locid=1622&iid=135283

Hum?

I know there are great CMT's here is Phila that will give someone a great massage on a table for 60, 80, 100.00.

I think 150 is too much for any massage. I charge 75 hr or 100 for 90 minutes that includes a release , hot stones, deep tissue and sports stretching hot steamed towels a professional set up and table. here you can't do high volume sales and get multiple repeats at those high end rates.

Geez Jos, you are way toooooo Cheap (oops, i mean Inexpensive)... Raise your prices. You'll need the money for Obamacare ! Seriously, you price is TOO low.

I agree, your pricing is too low. You should be charging more for what you offer.

For me pricing is a perception.... Its usually perceived that things that are less expensive arent as good, or are inferior to a higher priced version. Therefore, even if your massage wasnt quality, if you price it higher, it is perceived to be good. Of course, then you need to backup the perception with the product. In reality YOUR service IS quality, so therefore should be priced accordingly. Friends of mine in NYC who are regulars at massage pay no less than $125-150....

I tried repeats wont pay those high end prices here. I've given almost 6000.00 in sales this month id come no where near that with 100.00 hour rates. there's guys here charging 120.00 hr and they have no training or license but I doubt they are doing high volume sales.

But..you also have to consider the local market. I know that people in my area won't pay 'New York prices' generally.

As for pricing and perception - I agree, to an extent (low rates are seen as red flags) , but also consider how many poster here complain about escorts charging more than 200-250.

The trick is to find the happy medium.

Joe seems to be a very savvy businessman - I have faith in his choice. :)

Joe... and that range is fair and competitive with the Philadelphia rate. I would be your client. I posted in the Forum and I also posted a review ( that has yet to see the light of day) I received a rub and a tug for 100.00 on the bed (ugh) from Dexter Meeks. I traveled to his hotel. He was late. The session lasted 30 minutes. In/out he massaged my shoulders, back and jerked me off. And yes, he asked for the money up front. I paid too much. He is not a masseur.
