Skimming thru the Rentboy offerings for NYC today, I couldnt help but notice that even the guys that advertise regularly, it seems jacked up their price..... And there are alot more "ASK ME" ads (is this negotiable, or the date goes to the highest bidder ?)

Then I thought, hey this is Gay Pride month, and perhaps alot of clients want to give themselves a special TREAT, plus there will be tons of tourist business as well as

Visiting escorts flooding the city.

Do any or ALL of these factors contribute to an inflated price for this period ? I would think that with all the competition, keeping your price flat or even a bit lower might help you to stand out, and snatch up all that extra business. But then again, I aint an escort, and therefore dont know their thought process on this.

Anyone care to weigh in and enlighten me.?

I was happy to see a few guys whom I havent seen in awhile like JJ Forte and Seth..... Looks like the big apple is the place to be for Pride month ?

I find that keeping the rates reasonable is the best business practice. 200 is in my mind a fair rate for an hour then 100 for each additional hour. The multi hour discount is what most clients really want cause then it works out to 150 an hour for two hours and even less for 3. Clients today do not want to be taken advantage of and frankly what I am hearing from clients is that the 300-400 dollar guys dont exactly give alot of BANG for the BUCKS! http://www.rentboy.com/mikey9nola1 ps I know cost of living is high in nyc. I have lived there so I know. However, if you can do two clients a day at a total of 400 or 450 then you make more than waiting around and getting a client every other day at 350. It is simple math especially the way the economy is now. just my thoughts
