glimpse of what is being offered, and I really dont want to have to do any work looking him up. Wouldnt it have been easier for him to perhaps post a link or pic?

Dont these guys know Basic Promotion 101 ???? I mean on the surface he sounds hot, but I left the Thread thinking, "OK, so what"... Why should I bother to contact this guy when he cant even bother to show us a pic ?

Thank you Phil, and perhaps my post had a more general implication, as I often see escorts promoting them in various places, but no pics or links. and for guys like me that dont hire ALL that often, and arent up on whose Hot and whose not, there is nothing in these sorts of ads to draw you in. It just seems like wasted time. I have always believed you should make the mOST out of eVERY situation. But thanks for the input.

I don't understand the mentality that escorts should come running to clients begging for our business. Some, not all escorts who are professional and well established, are really looking for only a handful of select clients.

 

I had a rather spectacular lunch the other day with a VERY popular escort that has been around for years. He feels this way also, he is not looking for a whole string of new clients. He has his regulars and that is enough for him. I researched him, and we began communicating via email and finally had a nice lunch together in WEHO. I'm not usually one to agree with JJ; however, this time I'm 100% in agreement. If the escort has a regular group of guys that he sees in a city, simply posting his travel dates without a link or photos lets him focus on his long-term clients. However, if his aim is to attract new clients, something needs to draw my attention, and clever prose alone isn't likely to do the trick.

They do have an extensive number of fans and notify them when their travel plans are set. Their mode of operation. I agree bosguy, but many of you dont relaize BVB's agenda with me. While his opinion is Welcome, it was worded as to invoke "criticism". I never stated that I "expected" escorts to DO anything, merely asked why they didnt include a pic or a link in their ads. There certainly are escorts out there who are in a position to be really selective. If I really really want to get to be with one of them, then, I think, that I have to go the extra mile. Things like contacting them well in advance and being as flexible as I can possibly be with their schedule. However, as a potential client, I dont feel its my need to give the escort what he wants, if anything it should be more "mutual". I wont run after an escort. If he doesnt respond after my second attempt, I let it go. Back in the Dark Ages when I took communications in college, it was always stressed that when promoting a product, its always "better" to include a visual. That was actually the premise THIS thread was based on. A link would be most helpful, but again, if it doesnt show the product, for me its useless. I am an instant gratitifcation kind of guy. If I see it, and i LIKE it, I will buy it... A wordy description alone is NOT enuf to inspire me to procede further.

This has to be the most ridiculous line uttered. If that be the case why are they advertising their services in a MASS market medium ? They should be soliciting their steady customers privately, and looking for word of mouth reccommendations. Not buying it...because it makes absolutely NO sense... Having a client base that is "large enough" isn't really an excuse to show a lack in professionalism. But Xander you are young still, (and very cute I might add)...escorts I am talking about have been doing this for 20 + years. You do sometimes reach a point of saturation and a need to balance personal life. I have talked to escorts who just want to deal with only a small select group of regulars, and no more. they go to a city, make a few phone calls and that's it. Or there advertising is very limited and targeted to a small group of people that follow them specifically.

 

And many of these guys only want to escort on a limited basis, because they have gone into other careers. Anyway, just my thoughts..
