I like the answer to the question that luvsrubs posted on here as I have had the same exact question before. I made me think of another question that I thought I'd ask on here since I don't have experience with "masseurs" either.

If there are those who have fake pictures in their ads, is it appropriate to ask if you could meet the person at the door and if they aren't who they advertised, just leave? I find it rude probably because of my upbringing and would just sit through it uncomfortably and pay the money so as not to cause a scene, but at the same time I don't want to waste my money on an experience that wasn't what I expected.

I have too do allot to set things up preparing towels for the steamer. sanitizing those stones for hot stone machine, lighting candles selecting music setting the mood. once you book I expect to be paid. I'm a medical professional I'm selling massages not my looks if a person asked me that question it would be a NO

Unsure - How important are their looks to the encounter? Obviously no one is going to post a photo that is not complimentary of themselves. You have to have a little wiggle room in what you expect at the door. Maybe they gained 5 pounds, cut their hair differently, etc. Escorts and masseurs do spend time, as Joseph said, getting set up for you.

Thanks for all the comments. Looks are important for me as that's part of the fantasy. I remember this one time I tried in Chicago of masseurfinder who was nearby and the pictures were of this guy, but probably 15 years ago. He was older and overweight, not the guy who was pictured with a sixpack. I was uncomfortable getting undressed and being naked. He wasn't rude, but wasn't friendly either. Although he advertised as erotic, I think he might have sensed some of my hesitation and there was no happy ending (thankfully as I would not have wanted that). I paid the fee and tipped even though I was not happy with even the massage, but felt bad like you said for the time he took. I could have gotten two good therapeutic massages from Massage Envy with the money I paid and felt jipped. When I've asked other people before about this, they said I should have just left at the door if I had made it clear that I was looking for the guy in the picture.

So that's what made me think that after such an experience, if I'd ever do it again and was stuck in the same situation a second time, what would I do? Josephga is a real massage therapist, but I think most of these guys are not and you're partially paying for eye candy.

Although I have NEVER gotten a massage, I have always viewed it as perhaps an erotic experience, however not a sexual one. If I want sex, ill hire an escort. I think alot of guys that go the massage route are looking for a cheaper "escort" experence, and sex is Expected. Of course if that is the case, looks will come into play. The guys that use masseurs as altwernatives for escorts arent fooling anyone, not even the escort himself, and these clients will often leave disappointed when the session doesnt turn out the way they Fantasized it.

To address the OP's question, if the person is not the person advertised then you are under NO obligation to pay him and can leave. But as has been stated, be realistic. time doesnt stand still and there might be some superficial differences like facial hair, a few pounds, hair color, etc. However, if these differences truly bother you, the BEST thing is to be honest and upfront, and not waste the persons time. Perhaps a $25 good faith payment for the encounter is in line. And if you dont wanna risk it, discuss it all beforehand, hope for the best, and if the masseur is not interested or thinks the conversation is inappropriate, he will turn you down, and you will have to move on. but at least you saved your money. You HAVE options.....

I think there is an opposite scenario at play also. I think that some guys who are basically just trying to make a buck as sex workers advertise sensual or erotic massage. A descent escort must be fairly willing to have sex with whatever client hires them, and do -- for the most part -- whatever sexual acts the client wants. But, a sensual/erotic masseur hasn't implicitly offered sex, so if a client is unattractive to them, or they're not sexually into whatever the client wants, the can give a half-assed massage and a hand job and the client can't reasonably complain that they didn't get what was agreed to.

YES corndog, Agreed, so it would make the most sense to go with the sure thing and hire the escort rather than to pussy-foot around. And if you need to be rubbed a bit, the escort can do that too, enuf so to satisfy that need.

one thing that never comes up in any of these threads is one thing. most states have laws regarding massage. In most states it's illegal to perform massage or call what you do massage without a license. 90% of those listed on massage sites are committing a crime. It's no different than someone calling themselves a DR or a lawyer when they never attended law or medical school.. Any time any of you hire these guys you are making a Contribution to the theft of mine and others like me business

I have to honestly admit that that is what makes me even interested in possibly hiring a masseur. It's expensive to hire one and not everyone can afford it, even without thinking about the tip that's not included in the cost. I wish I had the money to do so and experience something that I fantasize about, but even thinking about hiring a "masseur" makes me wonder if I can afford it. And I also understand that I should not expect as much leeway or sex since I'm paying less. I am not looking for a legitimate massage as much as a hot fantasy. I'd go to Massage Envy if I wanted a good massage only.

Sorry josephga that the way these sites, guys, and clients work does hurt legitimate massage therapists who may advertise on there. But if I can't be honest and ask the questions here, I don't know where else to go to ask.

Unsure, I do appreciate your candor and honesty, and I suspect many guys have the same feeling but perhaps are ashamed to admit it ? I have always felt that was the case, but many here are adamant they take massage for massage value, but always seem disappointed when they cum away without their happy ending. Thats why I say its MOST important to have a truthful conversation with your prospect beforehand and let him know what you are seeking. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by being blunt but in a respectful way.

"I am lokking for.......... can you provide that ?" As mentioned, you can usually tell by the Ad he has placed and how he presents himself what he is willing to do, but its always safer to ASK... In the end , this is a business arrangement and a verbal contract is standard practice.

Unsure, WHY IN THE WORLD would you tip ANYONE when you were unhappy with his services? It was nice of you to stay, and to pay the full price, but A TIP????

I know, I know. Call it stupidity? My parents taught me to be too nice, haha.
