I agree that with "casual" meetings what difference does it make what name either party uses? In the case of travel, someone must take the initiative to get "legal" airline tickets

I accept deposits for advanced appointments by PayPal and by direct transfer to my bank. On both occasions I need to disclose the name of the account holder, who just happens to be me. I've never had a client ever question it, not once and I have never had a client let me down that way either, by getting the account details and failing to make the payment.

Since I am not guarding secrets, like a marriage/family, prominent career, or elected office, I have always used my real first name when communicating with escorts. No harm in that. However, to guard against the possibility of a crazed stalker, on those occasions when I have been asked for my last name, I don't hesitate to give it and pronounce it accurately, but I give the wrong spelling of it, and it's not obvious that the spelling is wrong because there are numerous ways that it could be spelled. Why do I do that? Just in case someone wanted to cause trouble for me, they would have difficulty because if they google the name, they learn nothing about me. Very few people (escorts or other clients) have been given my actual name, correctly spelled. I set a very high threshold of trust before allowing that level of access to my life.

As for escorts, I know many by their actual name, and certainly all of the guys for whom I have booked travel arrangements, but generally, I call a guy by his escort name. For local guys, I do use an escort's real first name. While out-and-about with escorts, we have never run into anyone I know personally, but on a few occasions, we have run into people they know personally. So, it avoids the awkwardness and potential confusion if I were to call him by the wrong name in the presence of his acquaintances.

How right and proper that should be. I don't ever question clients using a false name, very few do .... But I think they understand why we do. An escort should always be referred to by their working name unless you know if acceptable not to and only then in the circumstances that present themselves to you.

I hate being referred to by the name given to me by my parents in an escorting scenario because as I explained before, I am not that person when I'm working. I am Steve when I am working and I'm another person in my private life. A life we are all entitled to

Since I restarted my career in New Orleans after my second retirement I decided to do something very different and that is to use my real name which is actually Michael (Mikey). I find that todays' clients really want, need, and desire a sense of closeness with their escort and using my real name has made things easier. when I frst started I used my legal middle name which I like cause it sounds masculine: WAYNE. To each his own....no right or wrong way here. http://www.rentboy.com/mikey9nola1

If we are in public I prefer that the client always use my real name. Which by the way I have no problem telling anyone in person. I just don't want my real name on the internet.

I also don't want friends, family, neighbors, or groups with which I volunteer, to know my "stage" name or side profession. Even a thousand miles away it is not unusual

for me to run into someone I know so that is why I like my real name used if we are out in public.

Now in private, or in a group of other escorts or clients it doesn't matter and either name works.

And the there are those scenes in which "Sir" works really well. Ha! it also minimizes the danger of you calling me by the name of your previous hire!

But the best thing is for one to simply ask what name or names should be used.

Simple question, nothing earth shattering but I am curious. I have an out of town escort coming to see me later this week. I am flying him in so during the arrangements he told me his real name. When meeting and together, is it common under such situations to refer to them by the real first name or the "stage" name used in ads? I will certainly ask his preference but just wondering what those of you, both escorts and client, prefer to go by when real names are known. For clients, do you always use your real first name or do you have a nom de plumb you prefer?

Because of this thread, I asked an escort about his personal choice. He said that he used to use a completely false name, but that he is more comfortable using his real first name but a made up surname. That's his opinion, and you already know mine.
