Simple question, nothing earth shattering but I am curious. I have an out of town escort coming to see me later this week. I am flying him in so during the arrangements he told me his real name. When meeting and together, is it common under such situations to refer to them by the real first name or the "stage" name used in ads? I will certainly ask his preference but just wondering what those of you, both escorts and client, prefer to go by when real names are known. For clients, do you always use your real first name or do you have a nom de plumb you prefer?

I would think as a client, if you gave a false name its for the sake of anonymity. i wouldnt expect the same client to reveal his REAL name. What would be the point ???

As for the escort, you are right to ask what HIS preference is....

I usually phrase the question something like "If you don't have any objection, I would like to use your real name while you are here. Is that a problem?" I have only had one occassion where the reply was negative....and it was a little wierd trying to remember not to use his real name after using it to make reservations, etc....

I actually use a different name to set things up and communicating for arrangements but when we do meet and I get a good sense of the person I prefer to use my real first name. Just easier and still maintains overall anonymity. I don't think the OP meant divulging last name to the escort and was only talking about first names.

I would suppose for an ultimate Boyfriend experience, REAL names would be preferable, at least for the client. You wouldnt want your date calling you someone elses name ? HOW RUDE ! :D

It all comes down to comfort level and what a client is after. For a bf experience it could be a preference for using a real name. For a fantasy scene, using another name could add some level of excitement. To each their own.

By the way, I've always wanted to use as my alias Jack Mehoff. :-)

I have also flown guys in (or made travel arrnagements for them to fly somewhere) and so I know their real name. Under those circumstances, when I meet, I ask them (or write ahead an ask) "What name would you prefer I use for you?" 90% ask me to use their real name (as I already know it), but if I introduce them to someone on the rare occasion I would meet someone else I know, we work that out too. (One very well-known European actor visited me at my home in Europe for a few days, and was very nervous HE would be noticed with ME, and so he preferred eating in -- rather than cause me any embarassment. The upshot - he often sat around my apartment for those 4 days in gym shorts or less!!!!)

As for my name -- rarely do I give it as it can be googled... Only 3 or 4 guys really know it, and that came after a lot of trust.

Wayout -- I would ask the guy which he prefers. Normally I use their real name (With one exception, I know the real name I think for all of the escorts I've seen). It does makes it a challenge when going to a forum event such as PS weekend, having to revert back to stage names. But other times, most times, it is easier with their real name. Like this weekend, when I was out with an escort (not a hire situation) who is now a friend and we were in social settings with his friends in his community. And my partner knows all their real names but none of their stage names.

Except for those 3 or 4 guys whose real first name is their stage name as well.

But ask the guy what he prefers. And go with it.

Wow - I must be a little naive; I tend to quickly share my real name. Rarely do I use Sam when hiring, but when I have I usually introduce myself in person by my real name.

Does anyone find it enhancing the experience with the escort by using an alias?

I don't find it enhancing at all. It's just a necessity. Like adriano, I can be googled and have to be a bit discreet so I rarely let escorts know my real name or even my profession. I do use the same alias so I don't get confused but it still is jarring sometimes in the heat of the moment. :)

Funny, I have never Googled a client, it never even crossed my mind. I don't mind client's knowing my real name, and most do. I respond to Phil the same way I do my real name. It is a little weird for me if they need my last name, neither first nor last are all that common and the combination is easily found on Facebook. If I were a client, that is what you should be worried about and not a Google search.

I google them all the time and use other sites—not to verify who they are as much as to try to verify who they are not.

I get allot of the can I come right now massage clients I rarely get too google. Sometimes if I'm away or with a client and someone calls leaves a message or I get a missed call I might google. Like this morning I looked at the phone saw a missed call where someone called me at 1:30am. who gets a massage at 1:30am? I stop answering the phone after 9pm

It's not that I think a fake name enhances the experience, but I am a big believer in quid pro quo-- meaning that if the escort wants to share his real name with me I am more than happy to share my real name with him. Basically the more the escort is willing to share with me about himself the more I am willing to share about myself and if the escort doesn't want to share with me I am totally content to keep my personal life just as private. Along those lines it does aggravate me to no end if an escort wants to keep his entire personal life a mystery but wants me to share every last detail of my life from my real name to where I work.

I use my real 1st name just because it takes too much mental energy to maintain an alias (that's how I feel about lies in general). My last name is pretty unique and shows up in caller ID, so I realize I'm taking a risk, but I haven't met a new escort in a while, and I've pretty much stuck to the well-reviewed ones, so I'm banking on a level of professionalism as reflected in dozens of reviews. I did have one well-reviewed and respected escort tell me his real name after our 3rd or 4th meeting. I was touched. When discussing that I would prefer that he say hello if we ever ran into each other while out and about, I asked him what I should call him if I ever saw him in public (real or stage name), but I'm embarassed to say that I forgot his answer!

I use my real name with escorts. It takes far too much effort for the deception and I can't really understand a reason why I'd need to do it.

I am the same, life is too short to worry about this. If anyone Googled me you wont find me anyway, as I have always avoided a web presence, but you will find plenty of others with the same name.

I always use my real name with escorts. However, I am fortunate enough to have two real names. My father named me after his father but that name was never used in my home. My family always referred to me by a nickname which my father had first and which he handed off to me. That nickname is part of our family name. After i attended school, i started to use my given name. So, in business situations I use one name and in family situations I use the other. Escorts are usually told my "family" name, as it is the one I prefer.

Most clients I see use their real name. Some don't though and it's obvious because I've had a Wayne be a Brian a few months later.

Steve isn't my real name, it's never been my real name but I've been Steve for over a decade, it's my professional name like Elton John is his professional name.

I don't ever forget to call myself Steve in front of clients because I am so used to it but if I was asked to go away with a client and needed ID I don't mind any clients knowing my real name, however I cringe if they use it because it's not right. It feels awful. I like to be that name when I am out with family and friends and I like to be Steve when I am with clients. My real personal is no way as sexually active or provocative as Steve is.

No one has ever asked me, outright, for my real name. Most presume I am Steve.

One thing I have noticed though is in America, escorts tend to have two names, a forename and a surname, in England you tend to just have a name.

I don't know many escorts who use their real name and I don't recommend many do use their real name because if you ever need to walk away from this work, you need privacy.

I also use my real first name, for the same reason. Years ago I would use my middle name when hooking up and when hiring, but invariably I would slip and use my real name. An escort I've hired pretty frequently slipped up and used his real name with me when he returned a phone message I left. We both had a good laugh.

it's all about trust and respect, of course....

with well-regarded escorts, I use my first name immediately in the first email contact....with first-meet, lesser-known ones, my dumb alias name (username on the email) is used for a bit until I'm comfortable....

some escorts give me their real first name out of the blue minutes after first meeting....it certainly makes things friendlier....another escort never gave me any private info even after several great meets until, later, I saw him singing the National Anthem at a very public event (full name visible in the program) and joked with him about it at our next meet

What does using a "real" first name have to do with anything? Unless, of course, your first name is Elvis and your family name is Presley. :) Other than someone whose first name is so famous as to be "identifying" what possible difference does it make?

I agree that with "casual" meetings what difference does it make what name either party uses? In the case of travel, someone must take the initiative to get "legal" airline tickets and that requires not only the full and correct name but also the verified DOB. There are "ways" around this issue but the "easiest" is for full disclosure from the traveler to the payer, so to speak. It is always appropriate for some level of "trust" to have been established in advance before asking for this information.

Best regards,

KMEM

I use my real nickname (Tom) when hiring. Most escorts who give their real first name have done so because they say they want me to use that name. I have one escort who gave me his real first name at the end of our first meeting and told me to use that name when scheduling with him in the future because it lets him know that he's seen me before and is happy to see me again.
