I have a question for the escorts here. I see boys on a regular basis, and lately I have heard several (3) of the guys bashing Rentboy for the lack of responses and a few other issues.

My question is, what are the better sites you have come across that has personally been successful for you, when it comes to Advertising?

And for the clients, what are the better sites that offer easy navigation and overall quality.

I live in south Florida. Thanks everyone. CF

Men4RentNow does seem to generate a lot more business. It can be really hard to tell though cause you don't know where the client got your number. If they are going specifically off email responses I think it may be skewed a little in favor of M4RN. Most of the first time contacts I get by phone say they saw my ad on RB.

Whatever you do, tell them to steer clear of Adam4Adam Pro ads.

M4RN is easier to navigate on my ipad. Rentboy takes forever to load up the pictures and pages. I live in nyc and find that there is quite a bit of overlap for the guys I'm interested in between the two sites. Although RB still has 400 plus escorts for nyc while M4RN has slightly more than half.

Thank you Steven and Boston Phil. I will pass this info along. I'm sure it will be appreciated.

Funny thing though, everyone I've seen in the last several months have been from M4RN. CF

Diffferent sites work in different countries/territories

Most of my work primarily comes from old fashioned run of the mill advertising in a local newspaper. It costs me £30 every 2 weeks. Not a huge amount but it's just a small advert in a local paper. From that advert I usually see 2-3 new clients a week, so for £15 outlay a week I really do profit on the advertisment. I also see 5 or 6 a week regulars who found me initially in that paper. I would say 60% of my work comes from placing that advert. I've ran it for years and never felt it was a waste of money. If I am going on holiday or away, or busy with advance regulars, I can withdraw it at any time and rebook it the week after. When I am working, it's run.

My next lucrative stream is having a website which is highly ranked on google. If you go onto google and type in Newcastle upon Tyne gay escort, I rank in spots 2, 3, 4 and 5 or Newcastle Upon Tyne rent boy will rank me today at spot 2 and 9. Finally a simple search Newcastle Gay Escort will rank me 1, 4, 5 and 9

Finally....... over here in England, Adultwork, a site geared towards women is probably the next most lucrative money stream for me. It's free and although they charge you to place your number online, all members can message you for your number and they allow an email address to be published. I get about 2-3 a month off it and once again, I have regulars who now book me direct who found me originally on that site.

I get maybe 1 appointment a month from squirt.org who allow free escort adverts with a phone number and odd appointments from other sites like gayescortclub.com that list me for free.

Most of my business clients staying in hotels find me simply from my google ranking. I maintain my website every day, I log into adultwork every day because it ranks it's preview grid of guys based on who has logged recently or who has the most feedback dependent on your search.

My website brings in about 2-3 new clients a week, much the same as my local advert but I get better clients from the website than the local rag. The clients via my website don't come back as regularly as the guys from the the local paper because they're usually out of town businessmen or guys passing by on the motorway and fancy a bit of fun on their way north or south. I may see some of them again but whereas my local regulars might see me twice a month, I would be lucky to see the website guys twice in a year. Different adverts attract different types of guys wanting different things with different agendas.

The local rag gets me my bread and butter clients which generates a sufficient income to pay my bills, the hotel appointments add a bit of glamour to my life, are usually longer and afford me luxuries like 4 foreign holidays a year and a nice car.

I have a perfect balance and a constant stream of enquiries and bookings from different types of clients.

If you're looking for customer service, M4RN is definitely not the way to go. The site takes forever to post your ad during which time they edit random words away so as to leave a Palinesque word salad that makes no sense and then they post it without any notice to you. It is simply impossible to communicate to anyone from that site; you get pre-scripted India call center platitudes in response. For what it's worth, 53% of my revenue has come from rentboy, 9% from M4RN.

I know you've posted about your dislike of M4RN in the past, but I've never had this problem. The most I've ever waited is an hour or two and I've only had one thing edited out of my profile because it was a phone number. Granted, I don't like the fact that they keep jacking up their prices...

We need to do a meta-analysis. In Beantown, Rentboy seems the most popular. From what I've been seeing in my lurking on these escort-site threads is that M4RN has the upper hand. Few Boston area escorts only advertise on M4RN.

Regarding mobility: Rentboy works very well on the iPhone. M4RN doesn't pass the escort I formation over.

I have a bad habit of net surfing from bed in the am.

As a client, I look at M4RN, Rentboy & Rentmen. Previous discussions here have shown that, outside the handful of major cities, M4RN seems to contain the most listings (even AFTER you ignore the inactive ads.) In NC, I have never hired from Rentmen or Rentboy; the listings for my area are in the 0-5 range (& half of those are also on M4RN). I LIKE the Rentmen site, but until most escorts in my area start using it....

It's interesting to Google 'male escort [city]' and see what comes up for your location. For me (Raleigh), backpage.com ads are at the top, then M4RN, then rentmen. Rentboy doesn't even show up on the first page of results. If I search 'gay male escorts raleigh'. M4RN is* the first hit, and again, Rentboy doesn't make the first page.

Rentboy seems to be consistently between 60-70 and M4RN is about 40 actually in the city. M4RN is far more expensive than advertising on RB, I really like RentMen but it really doesn't generate many leads. I can't justify paying to advertise there. I wish they could find a way to drive client traffic to the site. Perhaps they can't serve coupons :p

Hey, what about this site? Especially for the inexperienced? For what it's worth, my own favorite escort says that M4RN generates most of his business, and, I did find him originally on M4RN. I find it hard to read the reviews on RB, and the reviews on M4RN don't give me enough information. Another reason to push Daddys!

Well, Daddy's ins't a listing site. I think it is easiest to find your escort on one of the advertising sites and use Daddy's as the reference it is intended to be.

This is true, because a few of the boys I have found on M4RN have not been reviewed here on Daddy's yet.

I just can't believe that most escorts are limited to only two sites that have been able to generate calls for them in Rentboy and M4RN.

There must be something else out there.

There are a few others, but really, what sites do you use? If the clients aren't there, neither are we.

It's the old 'which came first - the chicken or the egg?' dilemma - and also a Catch 22: clients can't use sites to hire escorts who don't advertise on them, and escorts can't afford to spend money on sites that generate no business. If a site consistently has only 1 or 2 guys in my area, they're going to be my last source.

IMHO, rentmen won't achieve significant success unless they can 1) increase their visibility on the web (via Google & the other search engines) and 2) get more escorts to use them (maybe by reaching out to escorts who advertise on other sites & offering them a 3-6 month free trial - and I KNOW that's easier said than done!) Annd I think a 1-monht trial isn't really adequate.

rentmen appears fourth in google for me when searching for gay escort. They are definitely the superior of the other two in design and features, they do need to give the escorts more than a month trial. They are not going to get me to stay there and pay for it if I am not getting any business.

I've tried some new approaches with limited succes. In the beginning it was Craig's List, but with all the scandal and negative publicity I steered clear.

Then there was Backpage, but I found that quite a few of the escorts never responded after message were left. So back I came to M4RN.

Adam4Adam seems to take a bashing from time to time here, so I really haven't explore them much. Rentboy who was the big boy on the block a few years back seems to be not what it once was.

I'd imagine I will check out Rentmen and keep my fingers crossed.

Daddy's (although a review site) may be my pot of gold.

I am working on a blog post about my experience with Adam4Adam, needless to say it has not been much of a pleasant outcome for me. As I said before I am all for trying new ways to better business, I had always thought I was better than advertising there. Backpage is next on my list of experiments.

M4RN has always been my bread and butter—that MER site sucks and got me a shitload of spam. Not one single client. Same with Rentboy. I know the clients on here talk about the power of the board, but every time I got press on here it only increased the number of "wow you're hot sure would love to fuck u" type emails, or travel requests of the "ever come to TX/CA/WY?" type. I can't say that I've ever gotten a single client because of the board.

Well, Max. IF you ever do get to CA, I guarantee that you'll get me--and because of this board!

Most of the escorts I've hired over the past several years have been guys who I first heard about on this message forum, and frequently they were guys who posted here. True, this isn't a listings website, but rather a review website. So it isn't set up very well for browsing among escorts in the big city markets. On the other hand, one can readily put together a list of escorts you are interested in seeing just by following the conversations and posting on this site. And I find the chances of disappointment are much less than just hiring somebody from their advertisement.

My thoughts exactly! My first overnight is from this board and only from this board.

It's hard to get clients from the board if we don't know who you are? ;) By the way, do you ever come to Dallas?
