Why escorts choose most expensive item on the menu?

Let us bite the thread on this tapestry and hang it on the wall: Escorts order the most expensive item on the menu because, in my experience, the majority of the boys equate dollars with quality, that is, they do not discern the difference betweenst "costly" and "expensive": the item is there and because it has the highest price it MUST be the best. . .

Oh look, a generalization. Let me roll my eyes at it. I think I'm going to start ordering something cheap on the menu to please coupon-clipping clients. And then I'll charge you $200/hr to watch me eat it.

How's that sound?

I enjoy good restaurants as much as anyone, but I don't eat the best of the best every meal. At times, it is refreshing to be with a companion, who is cool diverting from the fine dining and craves a 5 Guys burger and split an order of fries. Many of us eat down the food chain, at least occasionally.

i just had a 5 guys and Fries lunch with an escort. We had a nice dinner and then a nice overnight. i made him breakfast, which as a bodybuilder consisted of 8 egg white omelet and a few other things. Then back to bed and before dropping him at the train, 5 Guys and Fries. Ultimately, for me, it is not the meal it is the company. As long as he is not ordering $500 bottles of wine, i am fine.

ya'll are still crowing about this? lord have mercy

If you invite an escort out to eat, pay for his damned meal no matter what he orders. if you can't afford the restaurant, then pick something cheaper. don't piss about it here after the fact. If dinner costs are what you're so concerned about, then maybe you shouldn't be hiring escorts to begin with.

Or make sandwiches before hand.

by the way, your posts seem almost unusual without the traditional rebuttal...ahh the calm

It's never been a requirement of mine, but the best escorts I have gone to dinner with have always asked me what I was having first and then they selected something from the menu in a comparable price range. Again this was on their own initiative, but I found it rather classy.

It's also the negotiation to have with the sommelier.

You know, you guys could always use the phrase—"If you don't mind, let's keep dinner simple so I can afford to hire you again and put the money in YOUR pocket instead of the restaurant's."

For me, at the restaurants to which I invite my escorts, it would be almost impossible to run up a bill sufficient to allow me to hire him on another occasion.

I should clarify, that if an escort saw fit to order a $500 bottle of wine, it would be made clear that he was paying for it before it came to the table. That would also be true if I were out to dinner with my accountant, a colleague, a friend or a family member. I have no problem picking up the check, I have no problem pointing out if someone is going beyond the boundaries of routine courtesy.

I simply choose restaurants where I'm comfortable with the menu. I order the wine, and we each order what we want to eat. I wouldn't take anyone to a restaurant where I couldn't handle the entree price range. Now Maxwell, if you were to order a bottle of 1945 Romanee-Conti, I would take the menu and smack you on the nose, calling you a "bad hooker.":)

I prefer full-bodied Super Tuscans for my reds, or just a nice tasty beer. If you want to truly impress me with food—find me a restaurant that has authentic or creative Southern home cooking, which is by far the more difficult cuisine to prepare.

On your next visit to Atlanta, if you will kindly let me know in advance of your arrival, I will accompany you to Mary Mac's Tea Room. Your palette for southern cooking would be quite satiated.

Yes, especially Low Country food, like what's served at Magnolia, 82 Queen etc. in Charleston. You can find soul food in NY (though I've been disappointed by the quality at some places), but there are no good Low Country places that I know of.

I know I should just let this thread go but god, this is one of those threads that is simply a means for some people to whine. This being the 10th anniversary of my first hire, I think I can safely say I have never ever had an issue of gentlemen ordering the most expensive item on the menu, because it has never been issue. I go places where I can afford and like the food. I make sure with a gentleman what foods/beverage he may or may not like ahead of time and plan accordingly. The only thing I can think of that most gentlemen are concerned about is to dress appropriately. 98% of the gentlemen dont care and most really would prefer not an all deep fried meal but most do have guilty pleasure like curly fries, fresh ice cream baked goods, etc. I just think there are a bunch of clients trying to impress people and it is not needed. Also most of the gentlmen with experience in this industry of a year or more do have good taste in cuisine. Almost all gentlemen that I have been with follow the clients lead. If you want to cut the food bill down only order a glass of wine, I guess. I dont drink and as usual most guys follow my lead and end up having water or ice tea. So my way of looking at it you are causing your own problem, stop whining and get out of the game if little things like cost of food is getting to you.
