Here's a twist on the topic: regular dream client notices the escort has reduced his advertised rate. What now ?

Are you referring to my post? If you are, you will notice that in the first line, I say that I pay the "Advertised Rate" OR the price posted is what I pay, which means of course, if an escort, say someone like Juan who says he does not negotiate, suddenly decides that he is wants to drop his rate, and then advertises as such, then I pay the advertised rate.

So in answer to your question "What now?" I would say book the boy, and consider it a deal. Then of course you can cross him off your "bucket list":p

Some escorts post different rates on different sites. I remember one guy here in Atlanta posted 3 different rates on his ads. I'm a value guy and a bargain shopper, so if I schedule a guy, I will pay his advertised rate.....the lowest one. If he doesn't honor it or like it, he ought to fix his ads and his pricing structure. Some escorts don't realize that some of us are professional clients. We do our homework.

Actually that is a good point. It happened to me a couple of times, that I noticed different prices in different ads...never got a straight answer as to why, but I simply mentioned to the escort the discrepancy, and in both cases he quoted the lower price. It was only a matter of 50 dollars and I really didn't care, but when I go to an escorts house I never carry more than the fee plus tip. That's it, not one penny more in my pocket, so I needed to know.

Escorts are no different than any other business. There is incorrect pricing almost everywhere you go, from Best Buys to your local market and everywhere in between. Should it be that way, probably not, but it is. I just got off a plane from the East coast and in each direction I arrived early for an upgrade to 1st. Outbound from LA, Virgin America quoted me one price, but on the return, same airline, same miles, 3 days later they quoted me a price $120.00 different, and guess what, I never got a straight answer as to why the difference. He kept telling me the charge was calculated by miles traveled, that I must be mistaken...You should have seen his face when I showed him the charge to my credit card from his airline!!. Sometimes you just gotta laugh that stuff off.

Airline fee structures are one of the great mysteries of modern commerce. So no surprise in that.

In regard to your earlier post, I find it interesting that you would charge your parents a full commission. This is such an alien notion to me. i cannot conceive of a situation in which I would charge my parents for full price for any service i could offer. My debt to them far exceeds the value of any service i could perform for them. Even if i worked for a company and my parents' fee was to go to the company, I would simply pay the fee myself.

It should be clear that I have generally been better off financially than my parent were and better able to handle any expense. If this were not the case, i would still not charge my parents the same fee as i would other business associates.

LOL..I guess it is obvious that I had a very different relationship with my parents than you did. My father was a savvy business man and owned his business for as long as I could remember. He brought that attitude and mentality into the home as well. Even as a teenager, I never borrowed money, not even 20 dollars without him having me sign a contract and charging me interest on that money. Well I have yet to consider myself better off financially than my parents, his attitude about money did leave me with great appreciation for its value....In hindsight, I realize that it was never about the money, but rather he was teaching me a lesson on life.

And as to that real estate deal, LOL...I will say, and very proudly I might add, that as his representative in this transaction, he got 15% more for his property than its appraised value, and up until that time it was the highest priced paid for any house in the surrounding area. When the buyers protested, and wanted the price reduced to match the appraisal, and threatened to back out of the deal, I stood my ground, I demanded and got more money into escrow to secure the sale. The house sold of course for the price we were asking....LOL I guess you could say I earned my commission. My father spoke proudly for years about how the deal went down.

Damn bigvalguy... You never cease to amaze and impress me in good ways~ Are you the brother I never knew about that lived in my parent's house while I lived outside in my tent paying $300 to $375 per month from age 15 to 17~? (True story).

I was allowed to use the yard to grow my own food, (and still do at my home in Oregon to this day). I paid rent though at home... not a hard luck story really but, a life learning. Life isn't free` Work for it and earn it or go hungry~ Don't borrow money and don't ask for it.Don;t expect it back if you give it out~ shut up n nut up~

This was my home life~ Manipulation is personal crime, negotiation is a skill~ Know the difference and don't fall prey to the former~ separate business from friendship but always be fair and honest~ Learn the value of a dollar by earning it and don't think it just comes to you or you deserve it~

it wasn't hard knocks... It was real life lessons~

Cal28's post is one of the best I've ever read! It's exactly the way I feel!

Thanks to all you dears who commented on my post. And for those of you who insist on a shot load, more power to you. I agree that it is your prerogative. We all have 'em (prerogatives, that is.)
