There was a post here when I answered, I guess it was edited out. Essentially it said that after an escort has been in the business for 5 years wouldn't you ask for an HIV test. Then something to the effect that with all the famous escorts posting here one could never be too safe. That was the tone if not the exact words. I inferred from his implication that there was a specific person at whom this post was aimed. Could have been all me i suppose.

Never having gotten sucked into that vortex, just seeing the name Noah Driver makes me curious. Did he ever make restitution to the forum members he said he was going to repay? fosterchow, essjay, frequentflyer are among those that I know of.

 

All of this LBT was before my time....HOWEVER...our local archivist.."Mr."G" I am sure would have ALL the necessary answers....I shall patiently await his response!!! Perhaps we need to turn on the "Bat Signal" for this one, and aim it brightly into the night sky...then again....maybe not!

As for me, no, I never received restitution. Last I heard from Noah about restitution was in an email dated 5/13/2011. Nothing ever came of the promise made in that email.

Not much I can add other than expressing my feelings of sadness. He had a chance to correct a wrong and live up to his word for making things right but it appears he squandered that chance. I admit that I would have, at one point, been very interested in hiring Noah and I was very hopeful that he would take care of things properly. He spoke a good game of being remorseful and making promises for restitution, but words aren't much without the followup actions to fulfill them. Overall a very sad situation and an unfortunate outcome, not only for Noah but more importantly for the clients that were wronged.

I am sure most clients can get over the loss of a few hundred dollars but can a "bad guy" get over being a bad guy? Maybe.

Actually, in my case, it close to $3,000, with his fee for two days in Key West and the prepaid airfare. And yes, the money loss is something I can get over, but the fact that I had been with Noah before, liked him a lot, found him fun to be with, and an open, decent guy was very difficult to square with being taken advantage of in any amount, let alone almost $3,000.

He reminds me of the late P.T. Barnum taking that phrase....there's a sucker born every minute.

 

Trivia: Barnum never actually said that, and people interviewed by his biographer said it didn't sound like him at all. He did, however, thank the competitor who attributed it to him for the free publicity.

Ok, now I'm curious. Can someone explain to me, in a nutshell, what this is all about? I quickly read through those old threads, so I understand that Noah was a no-show and owes some clients money. But what does that have to do with Noah's current post that started this thread about escorts in the biz for 5 years, and why was it deleted, and why is his whole blog deleted?

What an odd thing to say. I wouldn't consider fosterchow to be a sucker at all. He indicated he knew Noah from prior experiences. There was obviously an element of trust there which Noah decided to violate.

 

I go by the old saying "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me".

Not sure why you think that's "odd". PT Barnum was known to be a scammer/con man of sorts. He created these grand illusions meant to deceive people. As George Bush famously said..fool me once, shame on, shame on you. Fool me, you can’t get fooled again.”

KMEM....It's BVB not BVG-...regardless of where I posted, it was still before my time... not sure why you found it necessary to single me out here...soooo what's your point? When I began posting, the situation had already occurred or at the very least I was unaware of what was going on. ND was talking about making things right with those he had wronged. I have always felt that people deserve second chances. if you research my post you will see that I supported him in that effort....apparently I was incorrect in my assessment of ND and the situation, as many members here have rightfully pointed that out to me....as far as ND goes now, I echo jgoo's previous post from yesterday.
