Regarding #2:

 

A muscle inserts into a bone with a tendon.

A ligament holds two (2) bones together

What is it when two muscles (such as tis guy's abs and his obliques) come together? A fascia?

 

I'm having an anatomical blank. I think it's where my brain used to was.

A fascia encloses muscles and covers and seperates different layers of tissue... Whatever... Number two's fasciae are PERFECT!

 

Incidentally, tendons also connect muscles to muscles... and again this guy has PERFECT tendons as well!!!

 

Not to mention PERFECT ligaments, etc. etc. etc. etc.

BVB, I'm fine. Spring sprung early and quickly. So far I've tilled in 3 cubic yard of humus, potted up and planted 80+ cannas and 120+ dahlias, hauled 30 bags of sand to level an 1100 gallong water lily pool (what a pain that was), divided the older water lilies and got them all settled in to their appointed spots, and weeded like nobody's business. On top of that as I was doing laundry this Thursday, the sewer backed up--tree roots clogging a broken pipe. Right now there's a huge trench going through my front yard...of course, also going through two of my flower beds. I'll be putting the plants back in the next couple of days. Needless to say, putting galleries together hasn't been on the agenda. I am, though, sleeping like a baby. With a bit of luck, life will get back to normal sometime soon.

Thanks for the update, JAG... nice to know all is well... well, except for the sewer problem. I had that a couple of years ago... fortunately they were able to clear it without digging up the yard. They also advised me to dump some special chemicals in the lower level toilet once a year... "guaranteed to kill tree roots that might be invading the sewer line"... we'll see... no problems yet.... I am impressed by your gardening and yard skills... I think some of us would love to see a gallery of your yard this summer... you can intersperse them with the guys in your fantastic galleries... Thanks again for all your good work here. Good luck with your yard and projects.
