Regarding the picture of Mick in the police uniform... at least the first pic on his current Rentboy site... that is the one that I thought was as old as the hills... so much so that I would not want to hang since that pic first saw the light of day. At first I thought that my recollection was imprecise... or that I was having a bad day... that I was beginning to loose it. However, I checked with a buddy who is in the know about such things and he was in total agreement with my initial observation. I feel vindicated that I am not loosing my mind... well not totally.

 

Still, as long as the pic is an accurate representation of his current state then there is nothing wrong with using it… and optimistically that is indeed the case. Plus, as I mentioned above... and as has been concurred with subsequently... he is still a very popular commodity in NYC… so pictures aside he must be doing something right.

As for those photos ...

 

I am most flattered that people are opining on my photographs ... and me. I wondered why I experienced a sudden uptick in business this week; when “Cash4Trash” brought this thread to my attention, I discovered the reason why. The expressions “when people stop talking about you, you should be concerned …” and “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” come to mind. I thank all those who chimed in with nice comments on my behalf.

 

I truly admire and appreciate connoisseurship in all its forms: from those baseball fans who can eyeball & decipher subtle velocity changes in Mariano Rivera’s fastball to those who can distinguish the slightest note variation in a Renée Fleming Traviata aria. The same applies to those who follow escorts and the services they provide or the photos they use … you help weed out the good from the bad. Those of us who have had extended longevity in this field have you to partially thank.

 

As for those photographs: indeed, some of my photos do require updating - yesterday. Throughout the years, I have marketed many looks including wrestling and rugby uniforms (both sports I’ve played). The most successful look - by far - is the cop uniform, which for the record, has been photographed professionally on 3 separate occasions over the years. There have been subtle variations in the photos each time, but as they were all shot in the same uniform, they probably look essentially the same. So, I understand those who might be over the cop look or think I haven't changed things. However, getting fucked by a cop is a major fantasy that clients really desire … and not one that the 490+ NYC “rentboys” have imitated. I did reach out to “Cash” to get the name of his brilliant headshot photographer whom I want to commission for my next series of photographs (coming soon, I promise). Alas, the cop uniform will be used once again. In the meantime, as my Rentboy ad copy states, I am willing to forward a recent face shot to potential clients … a shirtless, full body & face shot alongside my late model Jeep Wrangler so people can trust the photo’s timeframe.

 

I’ve met some incredible clients in this business over the years, many of whom I consider good friends. I thank you all for your support.

More to keep the talk going…

 

As someone who surely appreciates the talents of Mariano Rivera… and how could I not as he has one of the lowest Walks plus Hits per Inning Pitched (WHIP) ratios in baseball, and can recognize even “subtle variations” between any number of Renee Fleming performances… not to mention those of Maria Callas… feels a bit perplexed that I did not notice the professed subtle differences between the various yet very similar “cop uniform” shots that have appeared in Mick’s ads over the years. Yet, perhaps I was not paying close enough attention… and at times one makes certain assumptions.

 

In any event, while Mick surely has been doing something quite right… as longevity in this business is not something to be taken for granted… I think that Mick has made a wise business decision by seeking out a photographer to do a bit of clear updating. Heck, if some of us here did not catch the differences (and that includes a good friend who is a connoisseur if there ever was one!) then perhaps it is indeed time to go for broke and show the public what has made him… and still makes him…. one of the most sought after properties in NYC.

 

In any event, best of luck to Mick… and perhaps he might consider giving us a heads up as to when his new photos will be accessible… Plus, it just might just drum up a bit of extra talk… and perchance even a bit of extra business as well…
