I don't get it either. I uploaded a pic last week that got flag that I had to prove i had permission too use due to photoshop placing a code on it when i cropped and re sized.

in my case it was obvious it was my photo. but still i had to provide my address and phone number to verify.

Lots of people, like me, would never know these are photos of a well-known porn star, and might hire this guy for a massage. However, everything else about this ad says, STAY AWAY! I hate to sound xenophobic, but...Latvia may be a wonderful country, but not for massage in New York! Also, the review is perfunctory, and calls the masseur Adam, while he calls himself Shane -- is Shane a Latvian name?

There has been enough about the Murray Hill Gang in the last 2 or 3 years to raise lots of red flags, and this ad raises one. So I'm not surprised to learn that this guy stole someone else's pictures. (Nice body, though!)

Yes, but even then I would refuse on principle. I am one of the horniest guys going most of the time-but the only way I would consider going through with the appt is if the guy were as hot as the photos he sent-and am guessing they won't be, otherwise why not post their own photos?! Having said that-do we know that this guy is NOT the porn star in the pics? I once hired Steve Hooper, after telling him he was using Steve Hoopers photos in his add> I didn't believe it could be him as he always alleged to be totally straight on his blog, but lo and behold, it was actually him!

For me, it would depend on how the guy looked, and how much I wanted a massage that night. Last August, I hired Konstantin on M4M, and the guy who arrived wasn't him (but looked like him!), and I said OK. The massage wasn't as advertised (he said he'd do a lap dance, and this guy didn't even know what a lap dance was), but it wasn't bad at all. When the guy left, after a 30-minute massage, I paid him half the agreed rate. A minute later, there was a knock at the door, and he said -- very politely -- I had short-changed him. I said that no way would I give him $160 for a 30-minute massage. He said, OK, and left, and that was that. And that was my adventure with the Murray Hill Gang.

There's a guy advertising on M4M now, Simon, (in Queens), whose picture is NOT EVEN CLOSE to the guy who gave me a fabulous massage here in August. No way would I contact this guy. I wrote a review on M4M (probably the only one there, which begins "Extraordinary!") I used to subscribe to their Premium Service for $6/month, and there was a scathing review on the site (hidden to non-subscribers) which said the massage was awful, he didn't look like his picture (the old picture, not the current one), and what was I smoking? The guy was right -- he had been scammed. And my rave review, of a guy who is no longer giving the massages -- was still on the site.

And no, Mr. Hornytwells isn't naive for asking that question. Again, it depends....

I once hired an unreviewed escort whose ad was very enticing with hot pics. He arrives and I didn't think twice if it was the same guy or not, until he came out to tell me that the ad pics weren't of him. Later I checked the ad and could see some subtle differences. So I could have sent him packing based on principle but heck I honestly wouldn't have known the difference if he didn't say anything. Turned out to be one of my best session ever so I guess I made the right choice (for myself at least).

So I guess what I am saying is it depends on how much he looks different from my expectations (maybe even better) if I would cancel the mtg when he arrived.

That's how I generally handle it. If the guy is posting representative pics for discretion's sake and the physical differences are slight, then I'm generally ok with it. If he looks absolutely nothing like his photos or if the photos are of him 10-20 years ago; that I usually take more umbrage with and send them on their way with gas money or nothing.

Those are pics of a well known porn star!

Looks like he's changes his ad some....calling himself Adam now, different pics and different phone number but the rest pretty much the same. Now the question would be is this the real guy or not? No reason to believe its the real deal since he's lied before.

Forgive my naivety-but how many clients actually go through with the booking if they turn up and see that the masseur/escort is not the person advertised?! I would simply walk away protesting false advertising-are clients really that desperate they would part with money for such a scam?

I hired a guy a few weeks ago (his pix were real) who told me a very interesting story on this very subject. I actually started a thread about it:
