"how much do you charge to top a guy - and do you enjoy it or is it just a job?"

Okay then. Phone lines are now open for response suggestions.

:p

"As mentioned in my ad, when the chemistry is right, I am able to top and thoroughly enjoy that. Also, the "donation" for my time is the same whether you want to sit on a couch and stare at me, watch me study, check emails, return phone calls, get naked, give you a massage, give me a massage, or get intimate together. Thanks for your understanding."

That isn't too harsh, is it....?

The polite version: "Thank you for contacting me. I really enjoy what I do. The rates for my time are listed on my website. Let me know if you have any further questions or wish to book some private time. I can be reached at ..."

The 'bad boy' version: "Fuck man ... I love my job. Bring your ass up here. Standard rates apply." :)

imo option 1 delete it and move on clients should have better sense than to try to tie a price to a sex act. option 2. tell them personally you love to top but all services are for time only and that your job is a job you enjoy doing lol. Tell them if they wish for more information or too book a session feel free to call you directly. include your number in the email

Thank you everyone—I was kind of at a loss of how to respond. I'll update with what happens.

I wouldn't respond at all.. too many red flags. As aforementioned the relating of sex and money is sooo obvious. He even goes as far to ask you if it's your job! LOL

Well, there are ways to respond without giving direct answers—personally I just want to see if the guy comes across as much a dick in his subsequent emails. Someone trying to do a sting would probably not take such an approach as this. If he loosens up a little, I don't mind seeing him—if he stays in defensive mode, then it probably ain't gonna happen.

Yeah, just be careful. If I were you, I'd exchange a few emails and then require a phone call to confirm the appointment. If it sounds fishy, then just skip out on it. Not worth the risk!

Some still won't get it. I've had guys email me and ask if a massage comes with a release? which is a big no no to answer saying yes and you can be arrested for prostitution. Or if it's a member of the massage board lose my license. Id say well the massage is full body massage and all contact is hand contact only.. still id get guys that couldn't read between the lines and email a second time and say but is there a release? second time and id just ignore them.

I kinda look at it like this... if it's a cop contacting me, the only way I'm not getting stung is by not showing up. If I show up—regardless of whether I jumped through hoops and didn't say something incriminating, I'm almost certainly going to be arrested.

lot of times clients that are completely on the up & up lose out because they can't talk about the services correctly.

True—I've even tried coaching clients by saying "now that's something I can't really discuss explicitly, WHICH YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND WHY" and they still don't get it. I almost never book with people who demand play-by-plays anyway.

I also agree if you find yourself in the room with a cop you will be arrested for something regardless if the charges stick or not.. I had a guy call the otherday said he didn't know which massage he wanted could he decide once he gets here. I said you can tell me which one but I won't discuss fees or details once here.. I refuse to talk about money or repeat details of services in person.

Interesting point, josephga, I haven't encountered this before but I'm sure I will sometime soon. Glad you mentioned this, bet I could learn alot from you. I posted a massage ad since it was a free trial and I've had folks contact me thinking that the "massage" is the same thing as an escort encounter. I'm of course not certified as a therapist, however I am told I give good massages, go figure, haha.

Oh, absolutely. I'm Suspicious Von Dropsy when it comes to ditching clients who raise red flags.

Absolutely, I am too, and we all should. Many of them may just be "new" guys as far as hiring, but in the end it's not worth the risk that we take.

I know a few escorts that removed massage from their list of services. Florida is a licensed state. they can arrest someone there just for giving a massage and charging a fee regardless if its therapeutic or sensual. same thing here in ga. I know 2 escorts that removed massage from their offerings. they weren't charged with prostitution. they were charged with massageing without a license and fined 1000.00 and arrested each state has its on requirements here it's 500 massage school hr then a national test. i think in florida its 700 or 750 hr. new york like 1000 hrs. the majority of guys that advertise on the massage sites aren't aware of this.. A person can actually get into more trouble with massage than with escorting.

Well, Señor Friendliness hasn't responded back to my email—so it looks like a bust. Oh well, I tried.

I thought masseurs could get around the licensing issue that by using "bodywork" or some other term instead of massage. At least that's what folks do here.

If someone uses the term body work there are certain limitations. they can't use the words massage, masseur, masseuse, deep tissue, sports, swedish, rolfing or any term that would suggest massage. they can do reflexology, reiki, acupressure, eastern modalities, yoga, personal training.. to get in trouble all it would take is a massage board call up and ask if they offer deep tissue. if they say yes. then they can be fined. most cases massage boards don't contact the police they send out a cease and desists then they start fines if it keeps on. but the police can arrest for it if they book and the provider doesn't provide a license... Keep in mind all this varies from state to state. its an individuals responsibility to know their state laws regarding this stuff. When I first started in 1999 ga had no massage licenses. until 2007 massage was classified here as adult entertainment. I had to go every year to the police office get finger printed background checked and purchase an adult entertainment permit.. allot of us got tired of it made a big fuse wanted massage changed from adult entertainment to a medical term.

Update: so he answered and is now back to asking strange. semi-loaded questions like—"do you think I'll enjoy having sex with you?"

Pass.

I think escorts need to take some responsibility for these emails. While you may be up front and honest in your advertising, many more are not. There are so many escorts that list rates as variable, ask, negotiable, or an amount and then have hidden upcharges or add-ons that now you have to ask questions like this even when the rate is posted. So many escorts post old or stolen (aka borrowed) pictures that you have to ask are these pictures really of you and are they recent and accurate. So many escorts check every box in the likes and activities section that you have to ask if they are actually into these activities.

Also you guys slam clients for asking questions yet you also slam clients for not being specific about what they want or expect in a meeting. Sometimes it seems a client can't do the right thing no matter what. I had one escort ask me what I liked. I responded with my general likes and interests, he slammed me for not answering that specific to sexual stuff. The next time I got that same question from a different escort so I responded with the sexual answers and he slammed me for being sexual (like oral) and not general (like bowling).

To the point of ths potential client or time-waster. Maybe he is just a lonely man who wants to play email tag. Maybe he has no intention of making an appointment. In all reality compare your job to a car salesman. That person might have some customer that asks question after question, wants to negotiate to the penny, makes multiple visits and demands a test drive, and never buys the car. Maybe he had no intention of buying it. Maybe he went down the street and bought the car from someone else. Shit happens. You answering 2-3 emails, maybe 4-5 emails is what.. 10 minutes of your life? Yet you make it seem like the guy is cheating you, wasting your time or setting you up to be arrested?

Anyways.. now I sound like I am bitching.. so I am going to stop typing! And despite this rant, I have noticed that your posts have generally been more positive instead of constant bitching which led me to believe that you really hated escorting before. It did make a difference, but then.. unless you are the actual guy who wrote that email to you, then we have no clue who you are as an escort anyways so I guess that wouldn't matter. Anyways kudos to you for being more positive in your posts in general (besides this one lol)!
