Outdoor Appointments and Risk

A month or so back I seen a regular of mine that had been reading the blog, he's a widower, late 50's and lives alone, I go and see him maybe once a month. He said he'd looked at the blog and read that I'd been seeing truck drivers for appointments in their cab. He was very concerned about this and asked if for safety I wanted to text him the registration of the truck on arrival incase I went missing.

 

I thought it was a kind gesture but when I said no, he insisted I did it. He was very worried about me.

 

I've been seeing the odd trucker now and again for 10 years, i never used to get many but about 8 months ago I was mentioned in a thread on a gay site for truckers and guys who cruise. I received dozens of enquiries from this and seen 4 truckers in one month, which was a record considering I'd seen about 4 in the previous 3 years. I probably seen about 12 last year which is a lot as I've only seen about 20 in all the time I have worked.

 

I've never had any issues or problems with seeing truck drivers and never felt I'd put myself at risk and as I pointed out, I am just at risk from seeing first time clients as I am meeting a guy for a pre-arranged appointment at a truck stop.

 

I felt it was quite sweet of this guy to be concerned like that and maybe others think I am taking a risk with it but I don't see it that way, every trucker has been lovely, usually my typical openminded guy in a straight relationship who fancies a bit of fun whilst away on long journeys.

I don't get it. Why would truckers be any more dangerous than any other demographic? Anyone in an apartment, truck, car, horse carriage, etc. could be up to no good. It make no sense, other than perhaps your regular is being a bit too interested in what is going on in your life?

I also get the occasional appointment to meet a few different truckers at a truck stop or rest area. Sometimes we meet for a beer or even a game of pool and then we go fuck in their cab. Everyone of the truckers I met was a great client and a fun sex partner.

 

By the way some of those truck stops (there are enormous ones enroute to/from Chicago especially in NW Indiana) are like bustling towns. Some can be quite surreal.
