I have met Ace on 2 separate occasions socially (Palm Springs weekend and DC Luncheon) and was extremely impressed by his unique combination of individualism and traditional values.

 

During the DC luncheon events, we were at a number of same events, but the one that prompted me to write this publicly was the last informal event. A group of us gathered at a small local bar for last minute goodbyes, etc. People were coming and going constantly, but, at the end, it was only Ace and I left. This man stayed right by my side and then insisted on walking with me back to my hotel entrance.

Thanks for posting this Bill. I cannot say enough great things about this guy. I've often told the story. I went to PS with not ever considering Ace. The rockstar personae for me is of no interest. But what I found was a truly remarkable man that is so much more than a rockstar. Kind, caring, considerate, willing to help newbies out. A bit of a kinky side (okay, more than a bit )

 

Is he a rockstar? You bet. Any of us who were privileged to see him do Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive" at karaoke last Sunday night will not soon forget that performance. But the rockstar is such a small part of who Ace really is.

I am so pissed because I used to go to Las Vegas five or six times a year with my former job - one visit was at least 10 days and I never had the chance to meet this great gut.
