How much latitude do you give an escort?

-When will escorts realize that using old pictures, or just plain fake ones, hurts everyone?

- Shouldn't e-mailing current and accurate pics be standard proceedure?

Net-net: do you cut the escort slack even if his pictures aren't accurate, yet a (potential) good evening lies ahead??

It depends. Jason Markus hasn't updated his photo in several years, yet current reviewers say he still looks great. On the other hand, I have seen ads from one escort I hired more than a quarter century ago, who is still using the photos that he had then, and I can't believe they are at all accurate now. An enterprising escort should send current photos if asked for them, but you won't know how current they are until he shows up.

One Proviso

About pictures--especially if they are professionally done. I pretty much expect the pictures to look at least a little better than the escort in question on the really athletic/muscular guys. On professional pictures I expect that the guy has been working out like a fiend, on a starvation diet with very little carbs, and possibly not even drinking much--or on diuretics--for at least a week or two before the pictures are taken. You have to figure out that most of them let down on their training regimen/diet afterwards.

Case in point--graduate student Chris--young guy from San Francisco. I think he may be retired although his page on Daddy's doesn't indicate it. But I don't think I have seen an ad for him in at least a year--and I emailed him recently without a response. But his last picture set --of which I think one is up on Daddy's--shows a tall ectomorph-ish type guy--who is incredibly defined and with small, but again very defined musculature. I had a weekend with him after those were done. He said that he had worked out and trained very hard--and that immediately after the photo shoot, he ate a bowl of ice cream.

But even if the pictures are them at their best--I still expect the pictures to represent them accurately on the whole.

And if you like average to vaguely athletic physique types--(I usually only hire these type guys when I am desperate)--then yes I expect the pictures to be 90-95% accurate.

Fake and old pictures are a lie. Do you want to lie with a liar?

LOL! Do you want to lie with a liar? HAHAHAHA, forget about the pictures:

A) What about HIS REAL NAME?

B) What about his HIV Status?

C) What about your wallet and other valuables in your house?

Doods, we're buying an illusion at best! The old/fake pictures are just the first sign that the illusionist ain't very good!

instudio said exactly what I was thinking--I'm paying a guy to show me a good time and that's all that really matters.

For me whether or not the pics are a fake isn't a deal breaker. However, it was the pic that caught my attention in the first place so it needs to be a good representation of type. If the pic is of a good looking muscular guy, I expect to meet a good looking muscular guy. These days, any new guy I'm meeting meets me in the lobby or the lounge first.

I concur, and that goes for both sides of the equation.

I've gotten fake pics and WAAAAAYYYY old pics from clients (I don't even understand why clients send me pics at all—I don't ask for them and I certainly don't require them to meet up, and if anything it makes me suspicious that they're trying to pull something). I do ask for an honest set of stats, so I'll know what I'm dealing with and whether or not certain requests are realistic.

I had a weekend trip to Texas once and the guy sent me pics from at least 30 years ago. It's annoying to have a mindset of what someone is going to look like, and they look nothing like that person whatsoever. And they've also lied about their stats. And you have agreed to spend a weekend with them.

I'm not ageist by any stretch of the imagination. But I agree with you that misrepresentation sucks—and when someone looks in person as though they are not only on death's door, but about to close it behind them, they should be honest about it. The Texas client had numerous health issues and I was more afraid of hurting him than anything. And when I got back home I got an email stating that he had no intention of hiring me again because our dynamic just "wasn't what he was promised." Well no shit.

As a general rule I ONLY hire escorts with multiple positive reviews on this site. I also look for reviews written by clients in my age category. Escorts who do NOT look like their photographs or are using photographs of someone else DO NOT get positive reviews thus I don’t hire them. It’s as simple as that.

Who cares what his name is, and long as he performs as advertised

HIV ? - Can you ever really know the truth ?

Escorts should not be left unattended in your home, and if its THEIR home, you should never let your valuables out of your sight.

Most things are YOUR responsibility. All the escort needs to make good on is word, what he agreed to do...

They are insecure and feel you might leave them standing at the alter. They want to be sure you know what you are getting, and if you arent attracted, or wouldnt be able to perform with them, they are owed your honesty upfront. I actually think its a considerate move.

Um, uh, my post was in response to Edward's statement and question -
Fake and old pictures are a lie. Do you want to lie with a liar?
You're sorta missing my intent ... and it's out of context to read it without Edward's quote above it.

I understood and was commenting on the other points you raised, not critiquing your reply to him.
Um, I wasn't 'raising points' so much as POINTING OUT that with honest pictures a client would still by lying with a liar because he wouldn't know 1) his name, 2) his HIV status, or 3) his propensity to remove your property without permission. Oh, yeah and the same is true of the escort - for the same reasons.

I was being illustrative not stupid. My comment doesn't merit correction/comment. The fact of lying with a liar is a given - to the point of being obvious... geez...

Like others here! I check reviews, comments and suggestions of guys here on the forum whose opinion and taste in escorts I have come to trust and admire. I will consider a ositive review of an escort written by a client about my age. I do not generally hire guys w/o face photos. I also generally meet them in the hotel lobby? If a "stranger" shows up, I politely tell him "sorry" and give him cab fare. He tricked me and so I feel no pressure to give him the fee.

It's not considerate when the pics are fake. I'm far more likely to leave someone standing at the altar if they've misrepresented themselves over something I didn't even ask for, than if they've written me an email that says something like: "I'm an older guy" or "I have some extra weight." Sending me pics of a healthy middle-aged man and then showing up as an extremely unhealthy and much older man is not cool. At all. I would not agree to spend a weekend with someone who was sick—unless I'm going to charge a whole hell of a lot more—because I wouldn't find it to be the least bit fun. If there are escorts who would—great. Go hire one of them.

Really? Rully...???? You seem to give quite a bit of latitude to one escort down in WEHO! (Couch, cough)
Couch, cough? What're you finding me too big to swallow? Drop your head off the seat cushion, honey.

Just because when I have a hard-on for Justin Baylor, he takes care of it, you fuss at me, repeatedly. But you? When you have a hard-on for him, you just stalk other people in the forum.

I still have a business relationship with Justin Baylor's day job employer, and he STILL doesn't look a day over 28 - NO MATTER HOW MANY POSTS YOU MAKE ON THIS BOARD besmirching him as past 40.

Seriously Glutes, you're becoming far too predicable along with sounding like a broken record - records went out before Compact Discs before they were replaced by iTunes and streaming music. So you're 20 years behind on that, too!

To be such a great researcher, you sure are repetitive.

Re Gar1eth's comment, I've seen that same almost-anorexic physique and behaviour with several male models. I call such a physique gym-tortured.

I wonder when you mentioned Chris in SF if you're referring to the guy I knew. Tall, thin, and wore spectacles - insistent about working out every morning before breakfast? If that is the guy you have in mind, he killed himself almost a year ago.

PM me if you need any further info.

You really DO take this all way TOO seriously. Comments are comments. Read em and agree or not, but lets not get bent out of shape over them... Geez....

Once again guys we have diverted off the subject of the original post here. Do you cut someone slack if the pics are outdated. I say it depends on how the evening goes and how outdated. Something that I had to recently decide. While his pics were off by I believe maybe 10 years, the evening was in a word, delightful. Great company, engaging, intelligent, and a wonderful companion. BUT the pics just left me with a little bad taste in my mouth. (pardon the pun). A difficult area to decide and I think in the end each person must decide what is right for them...I coughed up the cash but flew home just a little bit disappointed.
