For those of you that do, do you report here what you have found on the M-F? I have on occasion, with much bruhaha when I did.

That said, I recently googled a phone #, and discovered that it was listed to a massage therapist, and a 'family day care center'.

What would you do?? Post a 411, visit said day care center, hire??

I have always appreciateed those who know how to google numbers -- but for some odd reason (and probably due to the fact that I most likely am doing this in an ass-backwards way) I google a number and up comes an ad for a website that will trace the number's owner but I will have to opay for that. I find these to be huge scams, so maybe Glutes or others can tell me how to go about this without having to give out my credit card info?? It would help me especially when I suspuect I have seen a guy's ad elsewhere.

BTW -- these scans for numbers can be faulty as I am now onyear 2 of having a mobile number that belonged to a certain FERNANDO (which is definately not my name) and aside rom getting strange calls, I also have bll collectors threatening me at all hours, and people calling for his wife who is late for a doctor's appointment and recnetly could not get serviced at PEP BOYS as -- lo' and behold! - FERNANDO owed them money!!!! (Pep Boys could not cancel his phone number or overwrite it with my name, so I had to finally use another phone to get my car serviced).

I regularly google numbers that call me and I google every no show I get (which isn't many I may add) and timewasters and I am amazed sometimes by what I get thrown back at me.

I would never use any of the information for anything malicious but when guys mess me about I like to know who they are.

I remember a lot of years back a guy messed me about big time, he wanted a duo with another escort, I got the other escort to travel to my home and he also spoke to the client a few days in advance, we were both convinced it was genuine. The client went so far as to get to the top of my street, get my apartment number and then no show me. I sent him a text and said thanks for no showing, I hope you sell that car of yours on Auto Trader, registration XXXXXXX. he text back with "How the fuck you dare look up my personal details". I replied, I dare after you were given my personal details and no showed me. Next time you no show an escort make sure it's not with a number you've advertised yourself on the internet with your real name and personal details added

I do google phone numbers. In the case of potenential escorts, I'll do it if I see an ad for someone I haven't seen before to see where else he might be advertising, etc. Very often I'll find a review here, but for a different city, and sometimes a different name. Sometimes I'll find ads for the same person for both escort and massage, using a different name and different pics.

I fairly frequently will get hits for the guy's personal life - selling things on craigslist is common, or maybe an ad for his real business, one guy who used to advertise in the N.E. worked for a mainstream business as a sales agent, also as a little league coach, I just wanted to say "dude, get a different phone number already." But since I value discretion in those I hire, I do the same in return and would never use that information for any purpose.

When that's all Google responds with, you're googling a private number. You only get the trash ads when Google hasn't found the phone number on a website - for an escort or day care center.

I have always appreciated those who know how to google numbers

No one is born knowing how to use a search engine. To learn, all you need to do is put "Using Google to search" in the search window, and Google will offer pages of "education" links. YouTube also offers plenty of education videos on how to search with Google.

Searching a phone number is somewhat unique because phone numbers are used to find people, places, and things, and there are plenty of "people finder" services available in the marketplace. When you Google a phone number, Google will bring up "people finder" links, too. I find that the "people finder" links tend to look alike, and they look like this:

Once you identify them at a glance, you can bypass them quickly on the list of links.

Entering an escort's phone number will often yield the web pages where his phone number is offered. The Google page will also yield the "people finder" links, such as in this example of Avi Dar.

Some phone numbers, such as mine, will only yield "people finder" links. The phone I use for anonymous outings is linked to nothing. It costs a little more to own one but it's the smartest way to protect your identity.

I sent him a text and said thanks for no showing, I hope you sell that car of yours on Auto Trader, registration XXXXXXX.

I have no interest in ever hiring a vindictive escort, no matter the circumstances. I realize some clients are not playing with a full hand of marbles, but given the intimate nature of the escorting business, I believe there is an appropriate way to deal with them. Publicly stating your method of dealing with difficult customers will have consequences. I call this behavior unprofessional.

I hate to admit, i have to agree with Rock on this. But then, it IS Steve, and he has displayed a bit of arrogance and aggression in many of his posts, so this behavior would be consistent with his personality. If his methods work for HIM, God Speed .

And no showing after getting my full address and wasting the petrol expenses of a fellow escort is professional I take it

I did it once to someone who was a real dick and wasted other peoples time and money for an appointment he had no intention of making. The other escort travelled 30 miles to me to do the duo and this guy wasted our time until the final minute before arrival.

I thought you were ignoring me ???

No I have not displayed arrogance and aggression. I corrected you on a number of things that you said that are inaccurate and you didn't like it

Without the use of a Private Investigator? Oh, my!

Has anyone used the google image search? It's really, really handy for figuring out who's fake and who's not. And, unlike Firefox (my current browser), you can look up Rentboys and just move their photos over to the "Drop image here" on google image and it does its work.

I don't look up people's phone numbers on google because I typically hire people who have lots of reviews. Lots of favorable reviews. The chances of somebody being a fraud, getting lots of positive reviews AND me picking them for an encounter are lower than the chances of me winning the lottery...TWICE..in a row.

What Google provided was this persons Rentboy ad, and the child day care center name & address.

Now how does he answer the phone? " Rodrigo's Rump Rub" or " Wee Care Academy " ?

I was interested in attending a seminar and googled the number associated with the business belonging to one of the speakers. In addition to his M-F/9-5 business I located his escort ad. After looking at the ad, I decided I would not want to hire him.

That has to be one of the most powerful tools I've seen in a while—thank you for the info. I did my own pics with it and one had been copied onto a number of sites, but nothing malicious—just appreciation.

Googling has saved me a number of times. I just type in the phone number and some keywords like model, escort, massage, etc. It'll usually bring up a number of sites for me to judge whether the guy is a fraud or not. The google image search is great for that as well, as gallahad said.

I've wanted something like this for a while, but this is the first that I've actually seen of it.
